ITS Mohannagar, UG Campus organized “PRARAMBH- 2023” 5-day ORIENTATION PROGRAMME of BCA 27th Batch (2023-2026) (Day-1)

The grand Inaugural Ceremony of 05 Days Orientation Program for 27th batch of BCA Course (2023-26) on Monday, 4th September 2023 started with the gracious presence of Honourable Vice Chairman-I.T.S-The Education Group Shri Arpit Chadha, Eminent Speakers of the Industry Capt. Felix Mohan, CEO, CISO Cyber Security, Dr. Rajesh Mohan Rai, HR Strategist & Business Coach, Ex Regional Head, HR Microsoft, Shri Manoj Chugh, Member Board, Mahindra and Mahindra, Director-IT & UG, Dr Sunil Kumar Pandey and Prof Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal, UG Campus.
The program started with lamp lighting and seeking the blessing of Maa Sarasvati by Guests, Director & Vice Principal, UG Campus, BCA courses chairperson & I-year coordinator.
Honourable Vice Chairman-I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha in his inspirational address said “Completing your academic journey is more than just gaining knowledge; it's about personal growth. While there may be shortcuts in life, genuine and lasting success stems from hard work and dedication. Remember, being the top scorer isn't the only measure of success. Strive to be an all-rounder by engaging in extracurricular activities, joining clubs, and applying what you learn in real-life situations. Don't confine yourself to academics alone. Make wise choices, take breaks when needed, but never give up. Enjoy your time at ITS and seize every opportunity”!
Director-IT & UG, Dr Sunil Kumar Pandey briefed the students about the contribution of I.T.S over the last 28 years in producing budding IT professionals. He said that getting placed in a company of repute is the dream of every student joining I.T.S., Their dreams come true as we provide placements in the best of the companies like TCS, Infosys, HCL, Deloitte, Wipro, Amazon etc. He advised the students to enjoy the growth of the investment they made by taking admission at I.T.S.
Prof Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal, UG Campus congratulated Happy, Young and Bright Minds, marking the beginning of a new chapter of their life as a student of a professional course BCA. She gave an overview of the various academic, and non-academic opportunities available for the all-round development of the students at UG campus. She said that every student joins I.T.S with the objective of becoming a successful IT professional and I.T.S provides an excellent environment that facilitates the students to achieve that objective. She congratulated all the students for selecting I.T.S as the destination for the beginning of new chapter of their life.
Capt. Felix Mohan in his address gave 3 blocks of success: Respect -respect for your parents, for your teachers because at the end they'll be the one who'll be most happy about your success and achievements, Be well prepared and have Honesty and Integrity.
Shri Manoj Chugh in his address said that , the 3 years of your college life are the most important time where you'll learn to be in discipline, confidence and start learning to work in a team. Start working in a team and work for your start-ups now. Make sure you learn and study hard, build up your confidence, and volunteer yourself for any of the innovative programs He motivated students to fulfill their & their parent’s dreams.
Dr. Rajesh Mohan Rai – A great start with the most amazing coordination which filled students with a great amount of 'josh' in them!! Do you have the courage to decide the goal you want to achieve? If not make it now, have the courage and "Do not hesitate to get your learning" mind and any decision He wished and congratulated ITS Family on providing great opportunities to the students for last 26 years. He further explained the exact meaning of institutional vision and mission. He explained the worth of practicality in everything what students learn. He also focused on learning from values adhered by the students in each aspect of life.
Prof. (Dr.)Vidushi Singh, BCA course chairperson introduced BCA course, its legacy and success mantra to students. She spoke on various activities conducted at the campus for the students in order to ensure their overall development.
All the dignitaries congratulated & welcomed the newly admitted students for selecting the best institute i.e. I.T.S, for pursuing their professional degree course and wished them for a bright future ahead.

ICT Academy established Honeywell Center of Excellence for Women Empowerment on AWS Cloud by training girl students of final year from BCA department. Students from BCA Department have registered for the training program along with 03 female faculty mentors, Dr. Vidushi Singh, prof. Smita Kansal and Prof. Barkha Kakkar.
This training program was conducted for 100 hours which are sponsored by Honeywell and implemented by ICT Academy. Mr. Ved was the resource person for this certification program. This program aims to provide Industry-oriented training on AWS Cloud to the Girl Students of the institution.
Day 1: Started with inaugural session at 09:30 AM with a Cloud Concepts Overview - Introduction to cloud computing, Advantages of Cloud Computing, and Introduction to Amazon Web Services (AWS). He continued with the topic of Moving to the AWS Cloud - The AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (AWS CAF).
Day 2: Training started with the revision of the previous day's topics and continued with Cloud Economics and Billing - Fundamentals of pricing, Total Cost of Ownership, Billing, Technical support, and Revision of topics. Trainer started explaining AWS Global Infrastructure Overview and AWS Services, Service Category Overview, Revision and discussion.
Day 3: Training started with the previous day's concepts then started with the concept of AWS Cloud Security - AWS shared responsibility model and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) with Hands-on and discussion.
Day 4: Training started with the previous day's concepts then started with a concept of Access Management with Hands-on, Securing a new AWS account, Securing accounts, Securing data on AWS, and Working to ensure compliance, revision of topics, and discussion.
Day 5: Training started with the previous day's concepts then started with concepts on Networking and Content Delivery - Networking Basics and Amazon VPC with Hands-on, VPC networking. VPC security, revision, and discussion and assessment.
Day 6: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Networking and Content Delivery then started with concepts on Amazon Route 53, Amazon Cloud Front, Compute- Compute services overview, Amazon EC2 with Hands-on, Amazon EC2 cost optimization, container services, revision of topics and discussion.
Day 7: Training started with the previous day's concepts on containers, a discussion on the assessment given and to AWS started with Introduction to A WS Lambda, Introduction Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Elastic Block Store Amazon (Amazon EBS) with Hands-on, Simple Storage Service, revision of topics, discussion with Assessment and informed to complete AWS Academy Graduate.
Day 8: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Amazon EBS and started with Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS), Amazon Simple Storage Service Glacier, Databases - Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) with Hand-on, revision of topics and discussion with Assessment.
Day 9: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Databases with Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora, Cloud Architecture -AWS Well-Architected Framework Reliability and Availability, AWS Trusted Advisors, revision of topics and discussion with Assessment.
Day 10: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Cloud Architecture with Automatic Scaling and Monitoring- Elastic Load Balancing with Hands-on, revision of topics and question discussion with assessment.
Day 11: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Automatic Scaling and Monitoring with Amazon EC2, conducted a surprise test, revised previous questions and followed by Hands-on sessions.
Day 12: Training started with the previous day's topic followed by Revision 1, Question Discussion and Assessment-1, Revision-2, Question Discussion and, Assessment 2, Revision -3, Question Discussion and, Assessment-3 of Full course
All the session delivered by the trainer was very Informative and Interactive. The Students were motivated and got an awareness of the AWS Cloud and the role of Cloud Computing in the day-to-day.

Ms. Divya Gupta, Training & Placement congratulate all the students for the successful completion of PREP -2023 She also presented vote of thanks to Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey (Dir UG. & IT), Prof. Nancy Sharma (Vice principal UG), Dr. Vidushi Singh , Prof. Aadil Khan, Prof. Vaijayanti Anand, Prof. Barkha Kakkar & entire team of PREP 2023 . Prof. Aadil Khan gave best wishes to all the students and also motivated the students to give their best in placement drive.
Dr. Vidushi Singh discussed that how these PREP can be useful for their placements. She also discussed that how a students can make themselves industry ready after completing the PREP .
Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey congratulate all the students of BBA & BCA participated in PREP 2023 and also for their successful completion. He also motivated the students for the placement drive and how they could be succeeds in good companies by enhancing their skills.Sir also suggested the importance of this PREP module and how a students can grab the placement opportunities.
Students who had performed well in PREP like attendance, subject wise best performer, good performer in Comprehensive test were awarded by certificate and gifts.

In the last day of PREP -23 Dr.. Vidushi Singh took the session on “C and C++ Programming”. She explained the concepts of C & C++ with explanation. She covered many important topics related to C, C++ like pointers, Arrays, Switch case, Dynamic memory allocation. She has also provided very helpful study material to the students and solved all the tricky questions.
The final session of PREP-23 for BCA students was scheduled today. In this session, students have to appear in comprehensive assessment test of all the subjects which they have been taught. After the session, students have to appear for their Group discussion (GD) round and Personal Interview (PI) round. Their GD & PI round were conducted by the faculty coordinators and they have to prepare the sheet for the analysis as per their performances. This session was schedule to build confidence among the students so that they can make themselves ready for the interview.

In today’s session of PREP -23 , the first session session was taken by Prof. Yamini Negi” on “Excel”. Mam explained the use of macros in Excel to efficiently manage the data. Adding to that she taught some other functions which can help in filtering and copying the data based on the given criteria. Further she discussed about the chart, filtering, sorting the data by taking examples.
Second session was taken by “Ms. Anjali Gupta” , Trainer- Pro Synergy Analytics on “Tableau”, a very popular tool to maintain the data. She gave the basic introduction of tableau like how to install, how to work using tableau. She mentioned the various types of tableau products available and difference between them, and how to use the basic functions on tableau and why is it useful .
Third session was taken by Prof. Manoj Kumar . He shared thoughtful remarks on personality and opportunity seeking. He was able to fill a motivational zeal in students.
He shared various anecdotes related to behavioral aspects. At last , Ms. Divya gupta briefed about Resume Building . She shared the actual layout of a resume, She stated certain points which a students need to surely mention in a resume to clearly make an impact on the recruiter.

First session was taken by Prof. Neerja Anand on “Emotional Intelligence” . The session was very helpful for all the students to understand the week points which may lead for their slow growth. She has also differentiate low EQ and high EQ persons and the quality they process. The session was very helpful for students to work on our weak points and build a strong personality. She also explained how to be positive in stress and in negative situations.
Second session was taken Second session was taken by “Ms. Anjali Gupta” , Trainer- Pro Synergy Analytics on “Tableau”. The session was very interactive and she asked many questions and gave many questions to the students based on Tableau. She explained tableau with proper neatness and professionally .She gave the basic introduction of tableau like how to install, how to work using tableau. She mentioned the various types of tableau products available and difference between them, and how to use the basic functions on tableau and why it is useful.
The third session was taken by Mr. K.S. Panwar on aptitude test. In today's session sir has covered many important topic that are frequently asked in aptitude test such as questions related to Time and distance , ratio and proportion, work and time, mixtures with very easy tricks and shortcut . He also gave questions on each topic to the students to solve them. Overall all the session was very interesting and helpful for all the students. The topic was clearly discussed with solutions of sample questions.

In the 07th day of PREP -23, the first session was taken by Prof. Aadil Khan. He shared remarkable insight on the financial term and concepts which can be asked in any regular interview.
He made the students aware with the general words and titles whose information they must possess. The various topics included in the session were Basic introduction of finance ,Terms like direct and indirect taxes, balance sheet , NPA, gross profit, net profit ,BSE, NSE , inflation etc. Overall a very interactive and informative session.
Sesond session of the day was taken by Ms. Sushma Singh, Trainer – GTT. She took Session on telephonic, video interview etiquette, email etiquette, body language and making of linked in profile. She talked about all the above topics in proper detail. She shared the significance of all the above things in securing a job and cracking an interview. She mentioned how the tone of voice, way of speaking, physical attire and body language etc are important elements to judge one’s performance. She also suggested how networking and connections can help students to become more reachable by the recruiters.

In the 06th day of PREP -23, The first session was taken by Prof. Kanika Tandon on “Marketing “. In this session she explained the basic knowledge of what market is, how it works, she also explained about 7 P's in marketing. At last she distributed the sheet based on marketing questions to the students for practicing. Overall the session was very helpful for the students especially for them who want to pursue in the non-technical field.
Second session for the day was taken by Prof Divya Gupta on “Personal Interview (P.I.)”. She started the session with correcting the sitting posture of students and also told about how to prepare for the interview, how to answer the questions, how to be spontaneous. Mam has also explained that what should not done in the personal interview.
The third session was taken by Mr. K.S. Panwar on aptitude test. In this session sir has covered many important topic that are frequently asked in aptitude test such as questions related to, charts, multiplication and questions of ages, profit and loss questions with very easy tricks and shortcut. In aptitude test, he taught very easy and quick method to find the square root, multiplication of large numbers, questions of triangle and square.

The Day 6 (07.08.23), First session was taken by Ms. Yamini Negi On “functions of Excel “.She took an interactive session on Normal Vlook from different sheets, Vlook from different workbooks, copy formula, vlookup for multiple values, conditional formatting etc .These are the basic functions required to be known to handle data in a corporate job. She also gave many examples to the students to solve the questions based on Vlookup. Students were involved in solving the questions and they all enjoyed this session. Mam, also gave exercises to all the students to solve the questions.
Second session was taken by Mr. Debojit Sen “On Effective decision making” .He shared the importance of effective decision makings in life ( giving his decision making examples).He shared the actual process of decision making. He was able to deliver the criteria and elements to be kept in mind before taking an important decision.
Moreover he suggested the ways to evaluate our decisions. Mr. Sen also gave many real time examples that how a person can improve interpersonal skills and enhance their decision making capabilities.

In the first lecture by Prof. Rohit Gupta on php students came to know about multiple things of how hypertext preprocessor work and all the details that came in it with its type and syntax and how it's embedded with html . Sir explained in a very easy way that how Php can be used with HTML and how it can be run using Xampp server with examples. Sir also discussed about Array concepts, Control statements, switch case used in Php. Sir also explained the importance of Php in Software industry.

In second lecture by Mr. Varun Arora on Android development, students learned about how to develop the Android application and what are all the prospective and things which the students have to keep in mind for developing Android application. Sir explained about SDK, emulator and version of Android. Sir explained about the architecture of Android and Linux Kernel. At last he discussed about the XML used in Android.

In the third lecture by Prof. Aadil khan on finance and in this lecture students learned about the meaning of all finance terminology like sensex, BSE, NSE, profit , debit, revenues, taxes etc. He explained all the finance concepts taking real time examples so that students could connect and understand easily.
