By taking part in the activities of clubs and societies you'll build long-lasting friendships and connections, meet students from different streams, and gain transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, organization, problem solving and time management. It will also improve your confidence. If you want to go a step further you could become President or Secretary of your club or society to develop your leadership abilities. Having held positions of authority will really impress graduate recruiters.
