A hackathon is typically a time-bound competitive event where participants collaborate to build proof of concept and minimum viable products for a specific pre-defined problem or to innovate. Hackathon 2k22, a National Level Hackathon, is going to be organized by College of Engineering Roorkee, (Uttarakhand), India on 18 - 19 November. Hackathon 2k22 is an event that brings together Developers, Hackers and Technology enthusiasts to develop innovative solutions to the challenges in society, industry and the environment. It's a fantastic opportunity for developing indigenous tech solutions that are innovative and can be turned into a functional prototype with the help of industry mentors. PRELIMINARY ROUND The top teams for the Hackathon were selected by analyzing the solutions to the problems given by the teams during Google Form submission. Five students team of UG Campus participated in this round and got selected for final round among 200+ participants. ROUND 1 18th November, 2022 The first round of the event was held on November 18, 2022 at College of Engineering Roorkee campus. The judges gave award points based on the progress made before the first round. ITS UG- Campus team “Crtl At Elites” presented “NIRAMAYAH” and explain the functionality along with methodology. ROUND 2 19th November, 2022 The second round of the event was held on November 19, 2022 at College of Engineering Roorkee campus. The judges gave award points to the teams based on the progress made before the second round and the preparation of the PPT on their project. ROUND 3 19th November, 2022 The third and final round of the event was held on November 19, 2022 at College of Engineering Roorkee campus. Judges gave award teams based on their final product developed during the 36 hours of the event and the PPT they create on their project. Observations / Learning for Improvements: ITS UG- Campus team “Crtl At Elites” presented “NIRAMAYAH” in this National Level Hackathon and got ranking in the top 20 positions competing among 50+ teams in final round from pane india Technical Universities and Engineering Colleges. Our team was very enthusiastic during the event and also improved their programming skills. Students also know about the latest tools and trending technologies which need to be explore more in future and further such type of hackathon events. The visit to Sahitya Aajtak was organised on 19th November 2022 to provide students an exposure to various literature forms – poetry, prose, music and drama and to highlight the importance of art and literature in today’s era. The fest brings together a diverse mix of marquee writers, scholars, authors, musicians, actors, columnists, business leaders, poets who have made their mark on the minds and heart of people with their work over the years. Aajtak, India’s leading Hindi news channel organised the 5th edition of its much acclaimed and well accomplished literature festival “Sahitya Aajtak” at Major Dhyanchand Stadium, Delhi. Total 147 students (72 from BBA, Ist Year and 75 from BCA, Ist Year) visited Sahitya Aajtak. The students reviewed and purchased a variety of books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Alchemist, Brida, What Young India Wants, etc. Students also enjoyed the live show of Mr. Hans Raj Hans, and other celebrities. Students also got an opportunity to interact with poets, authors and TV anchors. Students also observed the management of the programme at grand level with total seven stages having different anchors and news reporters. It was the great learning experience for the students as they learned different aspects of literature. All the students enjoyed a lot.
Aaj Tak, India’s leading Hindi news channel returned with the 5th edition of its much acclaimed and well-accomplished Literature Festival, “SAHITYA AAJ TAK”, After 3 years. As part of Aaj Tak's mission to emphasize the value of arts and literature in today's society they initiated this program. 150 students of BBA/BCA attended the program which include convergence of several literary forms, including poetry, prose, music, and theatre. They brought together a distinguished group of authors, musicians, actors, columnists, business executives, poets, and theatre artists who have earned a name for themselves throughout the years with their work. The live performance by Surendra Mohan Pathak, King of Hindi Crime Fiction, Chetan Bhagat, Hans Raj Hans, Dr. Suresh Awasthi, and others participated in the Sahitya Aaj Tak Our students had a good opportunity to listen to the eminent personalities and experience their working.
ITS UG Campus Organized an Industrial visit to the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) at New Delhi for BCA & BBA 2ND Year Students on November 17, 2022. The objective to organize this visit was to provide students an exposure to the practical working environment of National Cooperative Union of India(NCUI). BCA & BBA students of 2nd year attended the industrial visit to the National Cooperative Union of India. Mr. Rajeev interacted and explained to the students about the Skill India programme future scope and carrier in providing adequate training in market relevant skills to over 40 crore youth by 2022. Students also visit to different stalls of various states which encourages them to take up innovative ideas and create opportunities for the development of talent within the country and improve the overall scope and space for underdeveloped sectors. Overall Industrial visit to National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) for the Fest for BCA & BBA 2nd year Students was a successful event.
ITS UG Campus Organized an Educational visit to AWS Centre and CYBER SECURITY (CISCO) at ITS Engineering College, Gr. Noida for BCA 1st Year Students on November 11, 2022. The objective to organize this visit was to provide students an exposure to the practical working environment of NewGen IEDC, Apple iOS Lab. BCA 1st year students attended the industrial visit to the ITS Engineering College. Dr. Vasudha Arora, Mr. Tarun Kumar Chugh, and Dr. Vrinda Sachdeva gave a presentation and explained to the students about the future scope and carrier in Cloud computing, computer networking, and iOS development. Students also visit Apple iOS Lab, and NewGen IEDC (New Generation Innovation And Entrepreneurship Development Centre) which encourages them to take up innovative projects with the possibility of commercialization and channel the knowledge and the energy of youth towards becoming active partners in the economic development process. HR Club- Achievers of I.T.S UG Campus organized “HUMARI FUNSHALA” A Management Games Competition for Students of BBA and BCA 1st Year on November 25, 2022. Objective: The objective behind this event was to develop the interpersonal skills, team work, coordination and time management skills of the students which are extremely essential in the corporate world. The club activities are organized on a regular basis to promote team spirit and to implement the HR concepts practically. Description: To develop the concepts of HR through learning by playing and having fun. The club is intended to make the HR concepts clear to all students by playing different levels of management games with different challenges. The students all together played four management games Balloon walk, Let’s Reverse, Hola hoop activity and Building Pyramid activity. All the games were based on Group Co-ordination, Training, Time Management and Team work. Students participated in groups of 6-7 members in each team and the winners were decided on the basis of overall group performance, successful completion of the assigned task and the time taken to accomplish the task. The final winners were judged on the basis of overall performance of teams in each game. The event was judged by Dr. Nidhi Agarwal, Assistant Professor- Management (UG Campus). The winner and the runner-up team were rewarded with Trophy and an achievement Certificate from the judge of the event. I.T.S. U.G. campus organized an Industry Visit to Mother Dairy, New Delhi on November 15, 2022 for BBA First year students . An industry visit is very important in one professional student’s career to bridge the gaps between literary and practical knowledge. The BBA First year students participated in industry visit to Mother Dairy, New Delhi on November 15, 2022. During the visit, the students learned about the purpose, need, objective, working style, processing unit, functioning and milk packaging process of Mother Dairy network in Delhi. A lecture was attended by the students where in an overview of procurement procedure, quality maintenance policy and information about various distribution channels was given to the students.
