


Shri Arvind Thakur, Member, board of Management at NIIT, Vice Chairman and Managing Director at NIIT Technologies was the Chief Guest and Dr. Burzin Bharucha, Advisor; E & Y was the Guest of Honor in the inauguration of Prarambh -2022. Vice Principal Prof. Nancy Sharma welcomed 26th Batch of BCA Course. She congratulated students as they embarked into a new journey. Team of highly qualified faculty members provides a perfect learning environment so that they can get to learn as much as possible. Director (UG) Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey welcomed students as well and introduced all the beneficiaries of I.T.S, Ghaziabad, UG Campus. He briefed that Institute always had a long and fruitful association with alumni because of committed efforts and hard work we put in to make successful career of our students by emphasizing holistic development. Mr. Arvind Thakur in his address briefed that the students present over them were of 21st century. But the biggest bug faced in worldwide was in year 2000 and now in 2020 pandemic came into existence. Pandemic was a blessing in disguise for IT Professionals. Covid brought various golden opportunities for IT industries. But during Covid they got a chance to go to their loved once and spend precious time with them. And they also got to know that how they can link humanity with technology. Dr. Burzin Barucha gave wishes to whole I.T.S. for the commencement of 26th Batch of BCA Course which also reflect in the Vision and Mission of the Institute. The foundation of I.T.S is made for the great learning of students. Mr. Burzin further mentioned that these days we can’t just rely on one talent for becoming successful we need to be perfect in multiple fields and he also advised to be focused, deterministic and always respect parents and teachers in our life.
ITS UG Campus nominated three faculty members namely, Prof. Siddharth Kaul, Prof. Neerja Anand & Prof. Anurag Mittal to attend the One Day Awareness Program on “Cooperation” organized by NCUI, New Delhi for Faculty & Teachers on Oct. 15, 2022 The objective of this awareness program was to enlighten the faculty members about the role and contribution of Cooperative Societies in nation building and as a medium to connect with the grass root level. The awareness program focussed on explaining the history and contribution of cooperative societies in India post-independence and how it is shaping the lives of the craftsmen, artisians, farmers through the utilisation of their skills. The cooperatives are a medium to enhance the economic condition of the rural people by providing them money for their products and involving them in nation building. The resource person Mr. Rajeev Sharma, Director Coop Connect and Ms. Anuradha, Public Relation Officer gave their presentation on Cooperative Societies in India, their growth & future scope and involvement of Youth in Cooperation, respectively. The ulterior objective is to encourage youth to become part of cooperatives, thereby generating employment opportunities for the youth. After the session all faculty members and teachers were taken to the incubation centre meant for training the youth on various skills for self-employment and later to the centre where the handmade products were displayed for sale. All attendees were given a certificate of participation from NCUI- a flagship unit of Ministry of Cooperation, GOI.
An industry visit has a valuable importance in career development of the students, who are pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum. Student participated in the industry visit to learn about the purpose, need, objective, working style, functioning and expansion of NCUI network in India. A lecture was attended by them where an overview of Cooperative society and their firms, the primary role in education, training and skill development of the upcoming generation etc. were briefed by the Director and Staff members of the NCUI. It was overall a good learning experience for the students.
ITS UG Campus Organized A Guest Lecture on “Managerial Economics & Knowledge Management” on October 8, 2021. Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar who is also Head of Department of Economics at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut and associated with Economic Society of India delivered his highly thoughtful lecture to the students and learned faculty. The lecture commenced with a glimpse of Various concept of Managerial Economics and moved into the correlation of the subject with the Knowledge Management. The lecture changed the course of thinking that our Population is not a burden rather asset and be thought to channelize it towards knowledge management. It pin pointed how this asset can be taped to enhance the National GDP. The Guest Lecture was well interactive and the students discussed many enquiries in the field of Macro and Micro economics. Students were highly satisfied and motivated as if tuned and geared up for their future actions. They had some questions regarding their own future and received direction and high motivation from the resource person. Students were motivated and aroused for more knowledge in the Guest Lecture, they happily attended for around 1:45 pm.
Media house visit has its importance in career of a student, who is pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum. The objective of media house visit is to provide the students an insight into internal working of media houses. Theoretical knowledge is not enough for a successful professional career. With an aim to go beyond academics, I.T.S. U.G. Campus planned a media house visit to News-18 to attend a show on “ World Cup Special”.
The Three days Sports week organised by ITS UG Campus Strikers – The Sports Club with an objectives to invite the students who want to exibit their talent, sportsmanship, leadership and strategic thinking in the field as well as to encourage maximum participation in order to inculcate fresh talent in the Institute’s sports events. On Day 01-The event was inaugurated by Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice-Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group. The Lamp lightning ceremony was followed by his address to all the students present at the venue and emphasized upon the importance of Sports in student’s life, which was followed by Badminton, Basketball and many more. In the second day of Sports Week - 2021 students began with the much-anticipated Tug-Of-War, Sack race & Spoon race competitions respectively. On the last & final day of the Sports Week – 2021, students participated in events such as Push-Ups Competition & Table Tennis. Finally, the entire Institute including students, faculty & staff members, stood together to appreciate the winners. The Prize Distribution ceremony was organized to felicitate and reward the winners & runner ups.
Objective: The objective to organize this industrial visit was a part of the educational tour which provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Description: An industrial visit to the Mother Dairy headquarters at Patparganj, New Delhi. Mother Dairy, set up in 1974 is known for its hygiene and good quality of milk and agro products. This plant deals in production of about 10 lakh liters of token milk (out of 31 lakhs of total milk) and other dairy products distributed in Delhi & NCR on daily basis. College instructed the students about the decorum that was needed to be maintained on the premises. The students got excited and curious after reaching at Mother Dairy plant. They were directed to a conference room where they were welcomed by R K R Pillai, (Manager, Production). She gave a brief introduction of White Revolution Movement led by our former prime minister (Late) Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri to provide an uplifting growth & led a transparent system in the milk production in our country. Students were briefed about the milk ingredients and various benefits of milk. They were also explained about the working of the Mother Dairy through a presentation which was very informative and interesting. During the visit, the students were made well versed with the stages of the plant. These start with the procurement of milk and are which is done on the basis of 15 stringent quality tests. After successful confirmation on these tests, the accepted milk undergoes processing through state of the art microprocessor technology which integrates and completely automates all the operations related to milk processing. These consist of clarification, standardization, homogenization, pasteurization. After successful processing, milk is dispatched in a hygienic and sterilized milk tanker and is then transported under cold chain to various distribution formats (milk shops, franchises, shops, kiosks, insulated containers, container on wheels). Later, all the visitors were given refreshments in the form of flavored Milk and Ice Creams.Overall it was an educating-cum-fun experience for the students.
The event showcased a multitude of events like Fashion Show, Solo Dance, Solo Singing & Solo Acting Performance competition etc. The students exhibited their talent through their scintillating performances especially in Ramp Walk, Singing, and Dancing& Acting. Director UG -Dr.Sunil Kumar Pandey, Vice Principal-UG, Prof.Nancy Sharma and Judges Miss Kashish, Miss India 2021, World Runner & Alumni BBA (2015-2018) and Mr. Tarun Jain, Mr. Photogenic 2021, Businessman, Model & Actor solemnly inaugurated the event in Chanakya Auditorium at I.T.S UG Campus with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Vice Principal-UG, Prof. Nancy Sharma welcomed the students and asked the students not to forget the covid protocols and enjoy the day. She briefed the importance of the fresher’s party and asked the students to celebrate themselves as this day belongs to them. Director UG -Dr.Sunil Kumar Pandey addressed the students that new beginnings come with new challenges and we should try our best to learn from these challenges no matter what. Ms. Kashish the alumni (2015-18) who is holding the title of Miss India 2021- world runner up (skywalk) being the judge of the event asked the students to appreciate and cheer for each other during the college days. She said thankful to I.T.S for providing her all the opportunities to excel and achieve her dreams. She became nostalgic while recalling her college at I.T.S.
Industry visit to Security Exchange Board of India(SEBI), New Delhi was organized for BBA& BCA 1st&3rdyear students.It was organized to provide an Industry exposure to our students and create awareness about the functioning of these Industries, in due course lots of knowledge sharing with reference to investments, markets and investment products transpired.It was also an awareness program that explained about various fraud schemes that were being floated in the market.Students were very enthusiastic during the visit an keen to know about the workings.
The objective to organize this visit was to provide students an exposure about practical working environment of Mother dairy plant and an opportunity to learn through interaction regarding the Milk collection, Transportation, Testing, Processing and manufacturing of other dairy products. BBA and BCA students of 2nd year attended the industrial visit to the Mother Dairy, Patparganj, New Delhi Ms.Neha gave a presentation related to the history of the Mother Dairy and briefed students about the Operation Flood Program. She also explained the students the inception of Mother dairy in the year 1974 and is well known for its hygiene and good quality of milk and agro products. She also briefed the students about the primitive and noval modes of milk collection and distribution. Students were also informed about the actual milk processing capacity of the plant along with the significance of the steps in processing. Going forward, a small documentary film of Mother Dairy Plant was shown, which depicted the process of milk production. Students interacted with the Ms. Neha and asked numerous questions to satisfy their curious minds. Overall, the visit was highly interactive and an eye-opening for students on the concepts related to production and operations within a milk manufacturing plant.
