


Description: Peer Learning session on “Basics of HTML” aimed to introduce students to the foundational concepts of web development. Participants learned how to structure a web page using proper HTML syntax and document hierarchy. The session covered key elements such as tags, attributes, hyperlinks, images, and semantic elements, helping students understand how each contributes to building accessible and well-organized web pages. The session commenced with an engaging introduction by the peer presenters, Piyush Singh (BCA Batch 2023–26) and Aryan Nair (BCA Batch 2024–27). Both presenters demonstrated excellent communication and teaching skills, effectively connecting with the students and creating an interactive learning environment. Mentorship and Guidance The session was actively supported by the student mentors: Tushar Dass (BCA 2024–27) Harshit (BCA 2024–27) Aditi Bajpai (BCA 2024–27) Aayush Garg (BCA 2024–27) Vaibhav (BCA 2024–27) These mentors assisted participants in troubleshooting code errors, explaining concepts, and providing one-on-one guidance. Their contributions ensured that every student could practice and understand HTML basics effectively. Learning Outcomes: Participants confidently wrote and executed basic HTML code, structured web pages using appropriate tags, and corrected common coding errors. They also actively took part in hands-on practical activities and successfully completed the given tasks. The peer- learning format further enhanced their teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. At the end of the session, Prof. Shivoham Tiwari and Prof. Nisha Bansal appreciated the presenters’ efforts and awarded them Tokens of Appreciation for their excellent contribution.
Description: The Combined Quiz Competition aimed to enhance students’ conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and interdisciplinary learning by integrating key subjects from their first-year curriculum. The two-hour activity, conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, provided a dynamic and engaging platform for students to apply classroom knowledge in a competitive environment. The quiz covered multiple subjects from the BCA curriculum, including Computer Fundamentals, Environmental Studies (EVS), Mathematical Foundation for Computer Science-I (MFSC), Capability Enhancement Training (CET), and Problem Solving Techniques (PST). The quiz was structured to test students’ comprehension through multiple-choice, short-answer, and rapid-fire rounds, promoting quick thinking, accuracy, and teamwork. Questions were designed to evaluate students’ grasp of fundamental computing concepts, environmental awareness, mathematical reasoning, communication skills, and professional development aspects. The event encouraged participants to think critically, analyse information under time pressure, and collaborate effectively. It also fostered a healthy spirit of competition among students, motivating them to expand their knowledge base and strengthen their problem-solving abilities. Purpose and Learning Outcomes: The activity was designed to: Reinforce foundational knowledge across core first-semester subjects. Promote analytical and logical reasoning abilities. Encourage collaboration, communication, and teamwork among students. Instil a sense of academic curiosity and confidence through experiential learning. Students actively participated in the quiz with enthusiasm and showcased strong subject knowledge, quick response skills, and competitive spirit. The event reflected the department’s commitment to interactive and student-centred learning approaches, ensuring overall academic and intellectual growth.
The session was conducted by Sensei Subodha Dhiman, Director and Chief Instructor of Renbukai Karate in South-East Asia, who has trained elite forces including the NSG Commandos, Indian Navy, and Delhi Police. With his vast experience and engaging teaching style, Mr. Dhiman demonstrated practical self-defence techniques designed to help young women protect themselves in real-life situations. The workshop included live demonstrations, guided practice, and hands-on participation where students learned how to react swiftly and effectively to various forms of physical confrontation and harassment. The techniques emphasized awareness, alertness, and confidence, empowering participants to stay safe in different environments. The event received an overwhelming response from the students, who enthusiastically participated and appreciated the valuable lessons. It successfully promoted physical confidence, mental strength, and the importance of self-protection as a life skill.
Description: The session “Quantum Innovation: Redefining the Future of Business & Technology” was conducted by Dr. Ravi Anand, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, IIIT Delhi, an expert in quantum computing and Cyber Security. He provided deep insights into how quantum mechanics is shaping the next generation of computational systems and influencing sectors such as finance, healthcare, logistics, and artificial intelligence. The event aimed to introduce students to the core principles of quantum computing and quantum innovation, helping them understand key concepts such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum algorithms, and how these differ from traditional computing systems. This foundational knowledge is essential for future managers and technologists to grasp the potential and limitations of emerging technologies in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Neerja Anand, IIC Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in promoting innovation-driven education. Dr. Ravi explained fundamental quantum concepts in a clear and engaging manner, making complex topics accessible to both management and computer application students. The session began with an address by Prof. Adil Khan, Chairperson-BBA, who motivated the students to make the most of such opportunities. He highlighted the importance of attending guest lecturers that connect classroom concepts with industry realities and encouraged students to actively engage and learn from the expert’s experiences. Prof. Vikas Nain began the session by explaining the concept of Eco-Digital DNA, emphasizing how marketing professionals must integrate sustainable values into their strategies to remain relevant in a conscious and competitive marketplace. He encouraged students to see themselves as personal brands, highlighting that every individual today represents a unique combination of skills, values, and social impact. He guided students on how to effectively portray themselves as brands through professional platforms like LinkedIn, maintaining consistency between their online persona and real-world actions. He further discussed how personal branding goes beyond professional achievements; it reflects a person’s ethical mindset, social awareness, and environmental responsibility. He stressed that future marketers must balance profitability with purpose, promoting products and services that are not only appealing but also environmentally responsible. Prof. Nain’s talk also covered key digital aspects, including LinkedIn profile optimization, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and the use of AI in digital marketing, explaining how these tools can help students position themselves effectively in a competitive job market. Drawing from real-world business examples, he illustrated how leading global brands are successfully integrating sustainability into their core marketing strategies, setting new benchmarks for responsible business conduct. The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively discussed ideas about sustainable marketing and personal growth in the digital era. She emphasized how crises unfold on social media platforms and discussed effective strategies for minimizing damage, countering misinformation, and protecting reputations during challenging situations. Students gained valuable insights into the critical role of digital communication, leadership, and strategic planning in managing crises effectively. The lecture highlighted real-life case studies and interactive discussions, enabling students to relate theory with practice. The session proved to be highly impactful in enhancing students’ understanding of crisis communication, online reputation management, and the responsibilities of leaders in today’s fast-paced digital world. The audience showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged in the Q&A session, making the lecture both informative and interactive.
An industry visit is very important in one’s professional career to bridge the gap between the academic and Industry Interface, were students learn about the working atmosphere and practical knowledge to work in any Industry. BBA & BCA First year students participated in industry visit to World of Ice Cream Expo 2024, in which they learned about the working style, the processing unit, functioning of making of an ice cream packaging process of different ice cream brands in India. A video was displayed by the expo team to explain the process of procurement of raw material to packaging of an ice cream. All together the visit was really informative to the students, they enjoyed a lot a radio jockey was there for interactive session with students.
On October 15, 2024, I.T.S UG Campus organized an industrial visit to Amar Ujala at Sector 59, Noida, for first-year BBA and BCA students.During the visit, students learned about the newspaper production process, from news collection to printing and distribution. Amar Ujala staff shared valuable information about editorial standards and technological advancements in the industry. The guided tour of the printing plant was a highlight, allowing students to observe the machinery in action and understand the workings of the printing. Overall, the visit to Amar Ujala was an enriching experience that bridged the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for the print media landscape and renewed enthusiasm for their studies.
A boot camp was scheduled on 16th October 2024 at Pratapgarh Farm Resorts in Haryana for BBA & BCA Ist semester students (Batch 2024 -2027). The event was organized with an objective to develop leadership & sharing quality among students. The students gathered at the institute gate at 7:00 AM. and left at 7:30 AM for Pratapgarh Farm Resorts. The group reached at 10:00 AM to the venue. The students enjoyed a lot over there. The place was full of greenery and adventures. At the entrance all the faculties and students were greeted by a sound of drums, with flower petals and tilak in the traditional way. The students explored a traditional culture like pottery making, applying mehndi, camel ride, bull cart and many more which was all very fascinating. The people over there were very cooperative and down to earth and were dressed in traditional outfit. The food was very tasty with a lot of variety and with a traditional touch to it. There was rain dance, mud bath and tube well bath which gives a traditional vibe. There was a puppet show which was very mesmerizing movement. The students also took a ride to boat. The students experienced various activities like, Camel Ride, river crossing, Rock Climbing, Cricket, Dance on DJ, Zipline and many more.
A presentation on Indian Start-up/Unicorns titled Prastuti was organized by the E-Cell Lakshya under the IIC celebration activity (Institution’s Innovation Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on Oct. 15, 2023). Objective: The objective of the activity was to make the students aware of the various start-ups / unicorns of India, the societal needs they are catering to and the international exposure being received by the Indian Entrepreneurs. Description: A total of 55 students from BBA & BCA, 1st & 2nd year registered for the event out of which 45 students gave their presentation as individual or as a team. Each team/individual was allotted a time limit of 15 minutes for presenting their PowerPoint Templates. The students covered the Unicorns/Start-ups like Paytm & Pine Labs (Fintech), Zomato & Swiggy (Food Delivery), Flipkart, Purplle & Nykaa (e-commerce), Physicswallah (EdTech), Udaan (B2B Trading), Cred, OneCard, etc. The judgment was done on the basis of content coverage, communication, confidence, slide design and animation used. Three teams were adjudged the winners who were awarded with cash prize and certificate of merit. All other participants were given certificate of participation. Learning Outcomes: The entire event was full of insightful learnings for the participants as they learnt the business jargons like funding, seed capital, valuation, SWOT, strategy formulation, competition, etc. They also learnt many management principles like Time Management, Stress Management, use of verbal and non-verbal skills in communication, self-confidence, etc. while giving their presentations. The event also kindled the desire amongst the students to establish their own ideas into start-ups.
