The session aim was to have an interactive session with Mr. Abhishek Bhattacharya, a Co-founder at Whirl and formerly a Product Owner for the service product at Policybazaar.com to understand the what, where and how of the Industry 4.0 technologies. The session was online and received an overwhelming response from the students in terms of participation. Around 200+ students attended the session. Outcome: The session motivated the young minds and helped the students to know about the new technologies and also unveil the knowledge about corporate Industry. The guest aimed to provide insights about new platforms to the students' so that they can enrich their understanding on the upcoming domains. IT Club of UG Campus, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad has organized workshop on HTML and CSS for BCA first year students on 2nd and 3rd February, 2021.

The objective of the workshop was to help students in creating web pages on their own with the help of HTML and CSS. The contents which were covered in the workshop where: Introduction, HTML elements and attributes, heading, structure of HTML program, HTML background, footer, text formatting, font, lists, images, frames, tables, marquee, linking documents, Form and CSS. The students showed a prompt response by creating beautiful web pages displaying images, text in different formats, changed background color, changed font style and linked them with one another. They were also able to show form on the web pages where the user could enter the information and could submit the data through submit button. Overall the workshop was very fruitful for the students and they took interest in implementing the logic discussed. IT Club of I.T.S UG Campus has organised 02 Days Workshop on “Python Programming” for BCA students on 2nd& 3rd February, 2021, in online mode.

The objective of the workshop was to provide Basic knowledge of Python. The workshop was taken through online mode via Zoom Platform. Practical examples were demonstrated throughout the workshop. Prof. VarunArora and Prof. Abhay Kumar Ray were the resource persons of the workshop for BCA first year students. Total 90 students from BCA First Year attended the workshop on 2nd February, 2021 and 68 students attended the workshop. Following points were discussed in the workshop: S. No. Topic 1. Introduction to Python 2. Introduction to Spyder IDE 3 Writing Python programs 4 Python Syntax 5 Comments, Variable 6 Data Types 7 Conditional Statements, Looping 8 Functions 9 Graphs Session was interactive. I.T.S Mohan Nagar UG Campus attended conclave on “Safer Internet “for BCA II & IV Semester Students on 10th February, 2020

In continuous efforts to enhance the academic quality, UG campus attended the conclave organized by the FICCI New Delhi. The objective behind this conclave is to make everyone aware about the safer internet i.e “Together for a Safer and Better Internet”.

Total 10 students participated in the event from BCA Ist yr and BCA II yr. students. The session stared with the welcome address by Mr. Virat Bhatia chairman ICT & Digital Economy Committee, FICCI. He spoke about the grey area of the internet technology and welcomed Mr. Abhishek Singh, CEO, MyGov. He spoke about the line of control which is required in the freedom of expression. He ask the audience to check look into the reviews and feedback before we download any of the apps. We should be equally aware about the freeware as some trojan will be downloaded along with the app and can harm your system. He asked audience to be aware and not to share PIN, Password, OTP and CVV number with anyone as it can be the medium to hack your details. Recently he came across about the duplicate version of BHIM app downloading such app can leak all your confidential information .Online gaming is making students behaviour vulnerable they are more prone to violence, abusive language. He also asked parents to be equally aware about the involving technology .He checked the audience awareness about the e-cigarettes. Laws only will not help but the awareness to the system is required. He also talked about the initiative taken by the government in this regard like cyber surakshit bharat. Many other speakers like Ms. Nishtha Satyam, Deputy Country Representative, UN Women , Dr. Subi Chaturvedi, Head Tik TOk for Good, Ms. Swati Rangachari , Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Sterlite Technologies and Prof(Dr) Farhat Basir Khan, AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Milia Islamia University shown their concern about the Cyber bullying , Phishing , Child Pornography Buying drugs online. At last all admitted that not alone the government or any other institute or any law can make the required changes to be part of the apnna internet its we all need to be aware and should talk about the risk involve to the children

A Webinar on “Financial Ratios; Understanding Business Finance” was organized for the students of BBA II and IV Semester on February 25, 2020. Mr Suhas Shetiya, Head of New Markets, Enparadigm was the Presenter of the Webinar. Key takeaways were:

What do ratios tell us or benefit of ratio analysis?

The Presenter focussed on Importance of ratio analysis, as running a company involves continual examination and evaluation of its business performance. To ensure the continued profitability of your enterprise, use financial ratios to measure and evaluate it. The importance of financial ratios becomes evident when you compare important data such as assets and liabilities. Once you understand your margin of safety, you can make important decisions to run your business successfully. The Presenter explained using the example of companies like, Flipkart, Suzlon, Amazon, Apple etc.

 

It was a good session full of learning.

Finance Club of I.T.S UG Campus organised Mind Zone – Finance Quiz for all the students of BBA and BCA on February 27, 2020.

The objective behind finance quiz was to acquaint students with the various aspects of finance.

Students participated in the event from all years of BBA and BCA. The students were given 60 questions one by one related to basic accounting, stock market, Bank Taglines, Name Acronyms and current affairs related to finance. Students were quiet fanatic in the event. They appeared on time and were amazed to find the various areas of finance which they have not explored till yet. Students have shown disciplined behaviour and followed the instructions as suggested prior to the commencement of the quiz. Ms. Kashish Anand and Ms. Shivani Sharma from BBA (II yr), Ms. Simmi Mani Tripathi and Mr. Garvit Chhabra (BBA I Yr) and Ms. Megha Singh and Ms. Shubhangi Srivastava (BBA II yr) won the first, second and third prize respectively.

The objective behind  the conductance of this Workshop is to enable the students to analyze the balance sheet  to determine the financial health of the organization.

Workshop was conducted by Dr.S.Chandrasekar , famous Corporate & B-School Trainer  having experience of about 30 years in the field and association with more than 350 Business Schools . The session covered the topics like analysis of  business models, Du Pont Model, Asset Liability Management  , Balance Sheet & critical ratios like debt service management ratios, liquidity ratios ,profitability ratios , capital ratios, Short term liability ,Long term liability etc.. Students have learnt the technique to select companies with sound financial health.

Vikas Arora, Vice President, IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software, IBM India/South Asia, Anil Bhasker, Business Unit Executive, Analytics and Big Data, IBM India/South Asia, Subram Natrajan, Chief Technology Officer, IBM India/South Asia etc were the renowned speaker who took different sessions. The objective of Data and AI Virtual Forum is to discover how you can harness the true potential of your data and drive innovation.

Students of BCA 1st Year (2019 – 2022) and BCA 2nd Year batch(2018-21) participated in the Virtual Seminar. Data is the lifeblood of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The digital economy is today poised to herald a world where AI will enable humongous volumes of data to be sliced and diced in myriad ways to glean accurate insights about people, processes, products and business functions.

Access to large volumes of data will be a key enabler as AI paves the way for transformation, and orchestrating connections between diverse data sets. Data and AI Virtual Forum discussed that how you can harness the true potential of your data and drive innovation.

The session was wonderful as students have the exposure of Data and Artificial Intelligence through Virtual Seminar .

I.T.S - UG Campus is organizing Alumni Talk Series for BCA I Year on Saturday , 15th February 2020.

Mr. Siddharth Gautam , Event & Marketing Lead – Economic Times. and Alumni of BCA Program I.T.S- Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad (2008-2011 Batch) was the Resource Person for this session. His main focus during the session was “How to be a good decision maker in the life “.
Some of the key points discussed were.
1. Passion vs Profession
2. Thought of persuaded environment being persuade by others
3. Time management
4. To set goals on day to day basis
5. Different stages of confidence
6. To find out core areas of life

On this occasion Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey - Director (UG), in his address said that it is a matter of great satisfaction and happiness to see our Senior Alumni coming back to their own Institute to share their exploration, learning and experience with the students and to guide them.

Prof. Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal (UG) and Dr. Vidushi Singh , BCA – Course Chairperson were also present their along with other faculty members.

It was nice learning session for all the Students. They were highly motivated and took lot of inspiration from Mr. Gautam.

I.T.S – U.G Campus organized an Alumni Talk Series session by BBA 2015-18 Batch Alumni Mr. Vikrant Shukla on 15.02.2020 for BBA 4th Sem. (2018-21 Batch) students

The Objective of Alumni Talk Series is to keep a roster of all Alumni of college and their pertinent data along with maintaining the updated and current information of all Alumni. It aims to encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves as well as current batch of students. Primarily, it intends to provide a forum to the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day with the students. The Alumni Talk Series achieves these objectives and help strengthen the bond between the alumni and their Alma Mater.

Approx. 60 students of BBA – 4th semester attended the Alumni Talk Series session conducted by Mr. Vikrant Shukla, BBA Alumni (2015-18 Batch). He spoke on the topic “Challenges in corporate world for fresher” explaining to the students the challenges a fresh graduate has to face while entering into the corporate world. The session very interesting as Mr. Vikrant gave his own example pertaining to the topic and established an instant connect with the students. Apart from this, some students even discussed their start-up ideas with the Alumni. Such was the inquisitive response of the students that the session had to be extended for up to an hour as the students were full of queries and new ideas.
