I.T.S UG Campus organised Alumni Talk Series “Journey from Campus to Corporate corridors” for BCA First Year students (Batch 2021-2024) on December 18, 21

The Alumni Talk Series is a potpourri of potential meaning that it provides everyone involved in it myriad of benefits. The main aim is to develop and maintain long term relationships with the alumni working in a multitude of fields; this in turn leads to the fulfillment of another objective that is to utilize the rich experience of bygone students of the college such that it aids the present students in their endeavor for better employment and higher studies. Furthermore, it aims to maintain an enumeration of all the alumni and update the data base with the same. Ultimately, it also encourages the students to become eager about their professional careers and when the time comes to ultimately flourish in it as well. Mr. Alok Dwivedi, Business Operations Analyst, Accenture, alumnus of BCA (2011-14) Batch was the speaker of the session. The session was organized for BCA Ist Year Batch (2021-24) students. He shared his pearls of wisdom on the topic “Journey from Campus to Corporate Corridors” and explained to the students the challenges that a fresh graduate used to face when entering the corporate world. Being an experienced professional he shared valuable insight about the practical and inner workings of the industry. He shared his professional career timeline and talked to the students about the various issues that he faced. He worked with a variety of companies facing different types of problems that he was capable of turning into opportunities with his skills. In addition to this, he told the students about knowing when to switch companies according to the growth of the company and also if you start facing stagnancy. He also encouraged the students by mentioning the achievements of his batch mates. Additionally, he talked about the importance of being confident in your communication and public dealing skills. He claimed that college is the perfect chapter of our lives to interact with people of diverse and colorful backgrounds leading to a broadened perspective. He also encouraged the students to tap into the unexplored side of their personality and try to find what they like to do apart from the curriculum portion. According to him this could be achieved by stepping out of our comfort zones and participating in various clubs even if we don’t particularly excel in them. He also briefed that how I.T.S and Faculty Members played important role in his life. He was part of Theatre Club and also made graffiti in front walls of Sports Complex and Main Gate. He finished the session off by saying that in order to thrive in life we need to give up habits that are detrimental to our dreams and aspirations. Overall the session was full of vigor and twittering voices could be heard from every direction. All in all, it left the students feeling vivified and full of exuberance.

The HR Club Achievers of ITS UG Campus organized a Workshop on Recruitment and Leadership for the students of BBA I Year under the aegis of HR Club on December 04, 2021

The session was delivered by Ms. Parul Gupta, Deputy Director, Bureau of Indian Standards who apprised the students with the recruitment function in an organization by orienting them with the recent practices in hiring employees. She further enlightened the students with the current practices in recruitment space which incorporates technology in a big way to choose the right talent for their organization and also for matching the right person with the right jobs. Ms. Parul also laid emphasis on the various methods used by the organization to attract, assess, select and retain talent. In order to attract the best talent, the organizations are spending money and efforts on employer as well as employee branding to the extent that they have specialized Corporate Communications department to take care of these activities. In the later part of the workshop, she focused on leadership skills essential in current times which should be more of democratic and Free-rein leadership styles. Ms. Parul also explained the concepts of new age leadership styles which are called as transformational and transactional leadership styles. The students were later involved in many practical activities in which the students participated enthusiastically and learnt about the practical applications of the HR concepts in real life.

Students of ITS Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad UG campus interacted virtually with *“Daughter of India” Dr.Kiran Bedi,* the first female Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Social Activist and Tennis Player, and 24th Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry on 5th Dec, 2021. Dr. Bedi shared her valuable insights and motivated the students of BBA & BCA through her experience and achievements. During her most awaited talk, Dr. Kiran Bedi discussed with the students the ABCD’s to achieve FREEDOM. A stands for ABILITY B stands for BOUNDARIES C stands for CONSCIOUS D stands for DUTY She told students that these were the things which inspired her to see things in different ways. She also discussed that the most important thing in one’s life is -"HEALTH IS WEALTH" and this cannot be compared with any materialistic thing. She also urged students to use knowledge in constructive way not in a destructive way. Students were overwhelmed during her Session .Overall it was a truly invigorating session for the students and faculty.

I.T.S Mohan Nagar-UG Campus, organized an Industrial Visit to Network Bulls, Gurugram for BCA I,II year students, on December 4, 2021.

To develop an understanding of different components of computer networks, various protocols, modern technologies and their applications this visit was organized. Mr. Pramod Singh from Network Bulls briefed the students about computer network role in communication. During visit students learnt about IP addressing scheme used in IPv4 and IPv6.Studentd did some hands on practical exercise on CISCO packet tracer to create a LAN using console cable, straight cable, cross cable etc. Students also got the knowledge about steps of router configuration and executed different commands to change privileged mode to global mode and vice versa. Students were briefed about the significance of fast Ethernet 0/0, 0/1, auxiliary port and console port. Among the students, JatinVerma,YashSharma,Krishan from BCA II year and Ritika Nath from BCA I year were awarded with appreciation certificate for their active participation in session by Network Bulls.

Mass communication Club “Janmat”UG Campus organised an OnlineDebate Competition for all BBA & BCA students , on the topic “Digital Payments are Secure & India is ready to go 100% Cashless”, on December 22, 2020.

The objective of the debate competition was to involve a discussion on the given topic. In the competition lot of arguments were given by the students in favor &against the topic . It was a formal type of discussion, with a moderator. 20 students participated in the competition. Mass Communication Club “Janmat” UG Campus planned this debate competition for the students in order to get them learn to involve in such kind of activities, students participated with enthusiasm & spoke relevant factors related to the topic , they were very confident in expressing their views. Some of the participants pointed the issue of non-availability of internet connection in some of the areas due to which cashless economy can be a dream in future, but inspite of opposed statement some of the students also spoke in favor of the topic like successful & regular use of online payments through different apps is a new level of cashless economy. Our Judges Dr. TazynAlam& Prof. Chanda Jain also appreciated the students for their efforts.

The objective of the guest lecture was to understand the importance of time management as it is required for success in all the spheres of life.Other than the theoretical knowledge guest speaker motivated the students about understanding the importance of time management in their lives ,Sir also explained about how to decide a goal &how to maintain it consistently.Guest lecture has its own significance for the students, who are pursuing a professional degree, With an aim to go beyond academics, this Guest Lecture was planned on the topic “New Version -YOU 2.0” Guest speaker Mr Anant Agrawal , Director & Co-founder of skill Oxide IT Pvt.Ltd. He is an Author of the book “Anant Sambhavna – Traits for infinite Success Possibilities”.He shared his knowledge about how he achieved success by applying time management in his life He also approached students by imparting different aspects of the deciding the goals in life.Students had shown keen interest by listening patiently and asking queries.At the end of the session students felt very motivated & also understood how to get rid of the problems & negative energy in life. Total 230 students participated in the guest lecture. Coordinator BBA 1st year Dr.Tazyn Alam also joined the lecture & also deliver the vote of thanks to the speaker.

A Corporate Talk on “Beyond Disruption 2020” was organized for BCA students on 18th December 2020. Mr. Nek S., Federal Account Manager, DXC Connect, Canberra Central District, Australia was the speaker of the session. Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey welcomed the guest and informed that how quickly our Institute transformed to digital platform immediately after announcement of lockdown due to Covid-19 and shared that technology has been the key enabler and savior for educational institutions during pandemic. He summed up by saying that technological landscapes have shifted during the pandemic. The session was very interesting and gave students opportunity to know how Covid-19 has led the digital change worldwide and how this pandemic became the new normal.2020 has delivered an unforeseen level of disruption, impacting companies and mankind globally. We have been going through some unprecedented times and the change that industry has seen in the last year may not been in 5-10 years. Mr.Nek quoted "Covid has led the digital transformation not the CIOs or CTOs" and it is such a truthful thought in this scenario. The guest provided insights about -where the industry is heading, how the organizations are shaping, the cultural changes happening and how the technological landscapes are shifting during the pandemic era. Speaker provide insights and understanding regarding the key concept of business strategies and innovation, varieties of research going in this field of IT and Business Strategies, anticipate the results of the Business Pulse to show a definite shift in thinking when it comes to prioritising technology in preparation for a digital future. Mr. Nek S. handled the queries of all the Students and Faculty members related to technological shift during pandemic.The Students and the Faculty members found the session very informative and helpful.

A Corporate Talk on “Cultivating Your Potential for Improving Employability” was organized for BCA students on December 22, 2020. Mr. Alok Singh, Product Manager, Maersk, Pune was the speaker of the session. Dr Sunil Pandey welcomed the guest and talked about how things are volatile, full of uncertainty, competition is so tough in and around, how the requirements, expectations are changing at faster pace. Therefore, students need to be prepared for the upcoming challenges and requirements of the corporate world. The session was very informative and gave students the opportunity to learn how overall development is necessary in present time, how building a good profile helps students to stand out from the crowd, and what kind of skill set they require when they move from academics to the corporate world. Objective of the webinar was toCreate awareness and an understanding on various issues concerning women’s personal and professional lives. Empowering women, Building confidence & Promoting change . The were 5 Speakers in the session Mrs. Gopa Sanyal. Dr. Sudhakar Pandey Speaker, Dr. G R Sinha , Dr.Shashi Atulkar & Padma Shree Pulbashan Yadav (Social Worker) each panelist discussed about various issues like how depression is affecting women specially who are in their 40’s & emphasized upon that woman should frequently speak about their problems. Dr. Sudhaka talked about the struggle and sacrifices of the working women, Dr. Sinha enlightened the audience on quality of life. He discussed about the importance of good parenting and stressed upon the freedom in terms of choosing their career, Dr. Atulkar emphasized that married women should frequently share their feelings and thought with their spouse. She also highlighted that many successful women have started their career after their marriage, Padma Shree Pulbashan Yadav discussed about the issue of discrimination on the basis of caste and creed and negative impact early marriage of women which leads to mental stress. Altogether they discussed about how women could be empowered in the society.

ITS UG Campus organized aGuest Lecture on Economic Growth & Development for BBA 1st Year Students on December 11,2020.

The motive behind this lecture was to expose the students to the topic of “Economic Growth & Development”. The session aimed at providing the students practical & empirical concepts on various macroeconomic concepts and insight in the field of economics supporting the theoretical learning of the subject. Dr.Niti Khandelwal Garg from Kirori Mall College of Delhi University was the speaker of the session gave an overview of the various GDP, National Income, factor determining economic growth, classifications of countries based on economic growth. He cited various examples countries based on economic growth and development.
