I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, organized one day Faculty Development Program on the theme “Current Trends in Data Mining & Big Data Technologies” on 02nd February, 2017 to enable participants to learn upcoming aspects & issues in Data Mining & Big Data Technologies. It is designed for all the faculty members & researchers who are ready to undertake research projects and perform data analysis. The speakers of the session Dr. Nanhay Singh, Associate Professor, AIACTR, New Delhi, INDIA discussed current issues, challenges & various techniques of Data Mining. He shared his valuable research experiences & replied all kind of queries of participants. Mr. Rohit Dhall, Senior Architect, HCL, India. Mr. Dhall delivered a very informative lecture on Big Data - Issues, Platforms & Challenges. During practical session he demonstrated HADOOP, HIVE & other Big Data platforms.

I.T.S UG Campus Organized Faculty Interactive Session on January 19, 2017

UG campus organises a Faculty Interactive session on January 19, 2017, for UG faculties. The esteemed guest of the session was Dr. Harminder Singh, Associate Professor of Finance, Deakin University, Australia. Total 25 faculties participated in the event from UG department. Faculties asked a number of questions related to how to conduct a good research, how to write a good research paper and many more. They enjoyed the session and took the maximum advantage of the session by making it more interactive.

We always want our students to contribute, to synthesize, and to add value to our learning. With this aim, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar organized FDP on the theme ‘How to make Class Interactive’ on 5th Jan, 2017. The event started with a warm welcome address by our Director General Sir, Dr. A K Puri followed by Director –UG campus Dr. Vidya Sekhri. The speaker of the session was Prof. Vinay Dutta, Senior Professor, Fore School of Management, New Delhi.

I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, organized 02 days “International Conference on Computer Systems & Mathematical Sciences (ICCSMS-2016) on 18th -19th November 2016. The Conference was Sponsored/ Technically Supported by Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, Computer Society of India, Bank of Baroda, ISACA, International Journal of Computer Applications, US, International Transactions in Mathematical Sciences & Computer.

The Conference was formally started with the inauguration ceremony on Day-1 with esteemed presence of renowned Guests such as Shri Anil Swarup, Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of Coal (An IAS Officer of 1981 Batch known for his contribution in Ministry of Coal & brain behind reforms in Coal Block Allotment through e-Auction process),Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, Founder Vice Chancellor of GGSIP University, Delhi & Chancellor of KR Mangalam University, Shri Shushovon Saha, Renowned Smart Cities & E-Governance Expert, Prof. Frank Bond, Director - IMS, Goldsmith University of London, London. Paper Presentation Sessions were also scheduled in which Research Scholars, Faculty members and Students presented their Papers which were assessed & evaluated by Team of Session Chairs & Co-Chairs. Best Paper Award was given to Dr. K.N. Mishra from BIT - MESRA, Dr. S.C. Pandey, and Dr. Sanjay Singh from Bijnor.

I.T.S UG campus organized a one day Conference On “Intellectual Property Rights” for MSME Industries of Ghaziabad District in Collaboration with Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India (CWEI) on Tuesday March 21st 2017 at I.T.S premises.

Entrepreneurial development today has become very significant; in view of its being a key to economic development.Intellectual Property (IP) also contributes enormously to our national and state economies. Dozens of industries across our economy rely on the adequate enforcement of their patents, trademarks, and copyrights, while consumers use (IP) to ensure the purchasing of safe and guaranteed products.

With an objective to address various facets of the IP system for entrepreneurial growth especially for rural clusters, the Conference brought together a wide range of stakeholders – Government Representatives, Leaders from Industry Associations, non-governmental organizations and helped to explore more about IntellectualProperty Rights, focused on Geographical Indication (GI) and Trademark.

The event was formally inaugurated with lamp lighting in the valued presence of our I.T.S Campus dignitaries Shri Surinder Sood, Director (PR)-I.T.S Education Group, Dr. A.K Puri -Director General, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Dr. Sunil PandeyDirector-I.T and Distinguished Invitees; Ms. Shashi Singh, Chairperson CWEI(Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India), Dr. S.S. The event was started with great thoughtful words on women entrepreneurship and use of intellectual propertyrights for women entrepreneurs by Ms. Shashi Singh followed by other dignitaries who motivated the audience to know about intellectual property rights and its importance. The distinguished speakers discussed about the role ofintellectual property (IP) in economic, social and cultural development and throne light on various aspects related to IPR like - Foster Women Entrepreneurship using IPR Tools, Increasing value of Industrial Products of Ghaziabad, Creating Ecosystem for Growth of Enterprises-Financing IPR, Importance of IP in relation to Trademarks and GI for Ghaziabad District, Facilitation & Systems of Protection of IPR Tools: Patents & Design and Promoting Creativity and Innovation in Industries.

The conference served as a forum for the exchange of different perspectives and shade light on numerous opportunities on how IP contributes to development. Students, faculties and delegates found conference a very useful source to know about IPR in detail for successful entrepreneurship. Students and delegates highly appreciated the conference.

I.T.S- UG campus organised a Video Conferencing Session for UG & PG-IT Faculty members October 28, 2016.

Prof. Manuel N. Cardona Gutiérrez, Professor & Researcher, interacted with the faculty members to discuss about “A new Approach for the Forward Kinematics of General Stewart-Gough Platforms” through video conferencing session from his workplace Universidad Don Bosco, El Salvador, C.A. Prof Manuel N. Cardona Gutiérrez , SMIEEE, working as a researcher and full time professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Don Bosco University (UDB) in El Salvador, and as invited professor at the University of Sonsonate.

I.T.S UG Campus organized a seminar on “CAT -2017 Test Preparation" for BBA & BCA II Year Students October 25, 2016

The purpose behind this Seminar was to facilitate continuous learning inside the campus and to make the students realize their individual potential. Mr. Alok Bansal, Director IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Ltd. discussed that they help the students whose dream is to study in the best international business schools, like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and MIT etc. He even discussed the Importance of competitive examinations like Cat, MAT , SSC and Bank PO. Apart from this students were guided about the career opportunities. Mr. Alok also explained some tricks to the students to solve some aptitude question in nano seconds.
