
Ms. Divya Gupta, Manager-Training & Placement, I.T.S. Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad (UG Campus), was the first speaker of the session. She emphasised how important it is to communicate, listen intently, and have the proper attitude at work. She emphasised that these characteristics are fundamental to productive teamwork and team dynamics and explained how precise and unambiguous communication promotes understanding and helps teams avoid misunderstandings. According to her, the key to effective interpersonal interactions is active listening, which enables people to completely understand the perspectives of others and effectively participate in conversations. Overall, her observations demonstrated that these social skills and an optimistic outlook, in addition to technical competence, are essential elements of professional success in any organisational environment. Dr. Vanchan Tripathi, Assistant professor at I.T.S. Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad (UG Campus), led another session. She drew attention to how important change management is in today's corporate environment. She underlined the need of adaptation in the quickly changing marketplaces of today and talked about how businesses need to handle change head-on in order to remain competitive. She went into more detail on how crucial it is to create an environment where change is welcomed, develop employees' resilience, and give them the resources they need to handle changes with ease. According to her, effective change management fosters employee engagement and satisfaction in addition to ensuring organisational adaptability, all of which are crucial for long-term growth and success in the fast-paced corporate world. In addition to discovering their latent talents, the programme helped participants feel happy and revitalised on a mental and emotional level. The session concluded with a sense of pursuit delight.
Workshop started in frolicsome environment under the Mentorship of Mr. Sandeep Wadhera who took the session and explained the ins and outs of sales in a very lucid style and he also explained how to use different tricks to pitch sales along with general examples from day to day life, that gave exposure to the students on practical experience and knowledge of understanding that why sales is the best profession? This was a specialized program designed for the students, who wanted to learn the Art of Selling in Jobs and Business. In the second half students were divided into teams , where they were asked to create a sales pitch on the product or service allotted to them , the participants asked many queries and cleared their doubts and they participated with full enthusiasm in the session through role plays, The best performers where Mr Ankur Anand who was adjudicated as “ SALES KA SUPERSTAR” , Ms Vaishnavi was declared as Trainers choice whereas the team of BMW led by Ms Riya Giri was adjudged as the best team .
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) an initiative of Ministry of Education organized an a “Workshop on Process of Innovation Development and Technology Readiness” for the 1st and 2nd year students of BBA & BCA Program on Feb. 26, 2024. The objective of the workshop was to encourage the young minds to develop the innovation streak in them by taking cue from their daily life problems and use technology for driving their innovative products/services. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal-UG who had structured her presentation into various segments starting from self-assessment by asking question to oneself ‘Who am I?’ and closing it with technology innovations which have reshaped the future. During her session, she asked students to read case study depicting the business models of OLA founders and prepare a write-up as to what prompted them to come up with this idea. She also discussed the example of Google founders and asked them to watch the YouTube video “Algorithm Behind Google Search Engine” to understand the function of Google. Prof. Nancy later shared with students the linkage between Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The last section was dedicated to technology, how it can be utilized to the advantage of the students. The event was attended by 100 IIC student members who highly appreciated the workshop and were awarded with a certificate of participation.
The Fine Art Club – “Artea” organized an Intra college “REUSE-RECYCLE-REINVENT - BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION” for BBA and BCA all year Students on the occasion of National Science Day under the aegis of IIC(Institutional Innovation Council) on February 28, 2024 to provide them the opportunity and platform to prove their talent and their artistic exploration. Students showcased their talent by creating many models, decorative items,wall hanging etc. After doing the judgement keeping in mind various points like creativity, artistic composition, utility of product and overall presentation, the first three position holders were: I --- Sanya , BCA IV Sem Sec B II --- Sarthak , BBA II Sem Sec D III --- Yashika , BBA IV Sem Sec C
The Ideathon at ITS UG Campus gave platform to BBA and BCA students, hosted by Technotrix Club under the aegis of IIC, where creative thinkers and innovators can pitch their ideas, regardless of having a startup. This two-round competition focused on addressing global challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The event provided platform to showcase students' innovation, enhance their presentation skills, and creating a more sustainable world. Description: In the preliminary round, participants had the opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas in a virtual space. Participants submitted a PPT in (Given Template) detailing their proposed solution. They had to choose a problem from the provided domains. The PPT covered the problem's description, the proposed solution, its potential impact, and team background. Domains: Sustainable Technology, HealthTech Innovation, EdTech Revolution, Fintech Advancements, Smart Cities and Urban Development, Agricultural Innovation, Clean Energy and Environmental Conservation, Cybersecurity and Privacy, Inclusive Technologies, E-commerce and Retail Transformation, Entertainment and Media, Social Impact and Philanthropy, AI and Machine Learning, Space Exploration and Technology & FoodTech and Culinary Innovations First round was eliminatory. The Grand Finale at New Seminar hall, ITS UG Campus was offline, where teams presented their innovative solutions to judges. Each team has 10 to 12 minutes for the presentation, including pitching and Q&A. The Ideathon: Ignite Your Idea concluded with a grand closing ceremony, where the winners were announced and awarded prizes. The judges recognized exceptional ideas based on criteria such as innovation, functionality, user experience, and feasibility. At the end of the event winning teams were declared. 2nd Runner Up – Saurabh, Mehak (BCA 2nd Year) 1st Runner Up- Kaushlesh, Amit, Sakshi (BCA 2nd Year) Winner – Ayushi, Dipendra, Anushka (BCA 2nd Year)
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) an initiative of Ministry of Education organized an “Expert Talk on Ideation and Innovation” for the 1st and 2nd year students of BBA & BCA Program on Feb. 17, 2024. The objective of the session was to ignite the young minds to scour the problems around them through innovative ideas and offer solutions to make the lives of the people easier. The session was delivered by Mr. Bohitesh Misra, Co-Founder and CTO of Avexa Systems Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi. Mr. Misra is the Winner of IT NEXT 100 Future CIO, "Star CIO of the Year 2019 #CIO500", "Smart Innovator Award 2019", "Eminent CIOs of India 2019", Cyber Sentinel award, #CIO200 change agent 2018 awards to name a few. He has 26+ years track record of successfully enabling business growth by leveraging latest technologies and have worked with various MNCs like Digital Globalsoft, Compaq Computer Corporation, Hewlett Packard, USA, Simpa Networks, Motherson Sumi Infotech & Designs Ltd and Indian Railways. During his talk Mr. Misra discussed upon topics like Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, types and extent of innovation, Entrepreneurial competencies, Incremental and Radical innovation, Frugal Innovation, Entrepreneurial tips, etc. The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and sought answer to their queries from the guest speaker.
The event was attended by students (BBA-BCA Batch- 2020-23 & 2021-24). The guest of the day was Prof. Farida Irani, Department of Romanic & German Studies, Delhi University. Prof. Irani is an expert in French & German, both. Prof. Farida Irani, in her address to students, talked about the benefits of learning a foreign language. She advised students not to give up the foreign language, once they leave the college, rather, the language skills be developed further as they move on in their lives. The Professor also said that knowing an additional foreign language could take students to foreign lands. Knowing a foreign language would also help one know the other country’s culture. Emphasizing importance of foreign languages, she said knowledge of foreign language would be an asset if students wanted to pursue advanced studies in different disciplines in foreign countries. Also, Prof. Irani advised students to pursue language learning as a hobby, than anything else. After the talk, the certificate distribution ceremony was conducted.
The session was conducted by Mr Manish Srivastava VP FinX our value added partner for the Wealth Management Foundation course and Mr Vijay Kaushik Wealth Creation Coach who will be delivering the course . Mr Srivastava briefed the students about the current scenario of the BFSI Industry and explained the students that it is the right time to build their career in this growing Industry. Mr Vijay Kaushik informed the students about the course content and how they can have an enormous growth by investing some part of their salaries in the right funds. The students asked many queries and cleared their doubts and participated with full enthusiasm in the session.
Prof. Uttam Sharma, Prof. Shreyta Raj, Prof Karan Siwach and Dr. Neerja Anand faculty at ITS attended 3 Days FDP on "Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills" organized by ICT Academy from Jan. 29 to Jan. 31, 2024. During this FDP the Resource Person discussed topics like Problem Identification, Root Cause Analysis through 5 Why's and Fish Bone Technique followed by Decision Making through Facione Model was discussed Resource person also discussed about the Victor Yetton Jago Model for Decision-Making.The pedagogy used was ice-breakers, activities, case studies and presentation techniques. Overall, the FDP was highly interactive and a good learning experience. The techniques learned can be implemented in our personal as well as professional lives.
I.T.S. Mohan Nagar UG Campus Student participated in the FERIA 2024 organized by Institute of Home Economics (Affiliated to DU) on 07th February 2024. A Student of BCA 2nd year Shivalika Kaushik participated in the Model Shark Tank, a Business Idea Presentation at Institute of Home Economics. Her Brand PLASOE won the first prize in the competition. PLASOE is the idea of making shoes from the waste plastic. She bragged a Trophy and Certificate. Also, the student received a supporting voucher by Legal 24by7 for her future endeavors.
