
Objective of the visit is to build an understanding of students that how a production plant operates.The production manager Ms. Richa escorted the group to the assembly line and provided an overview of the plant's processes and operations.She also explained the quality tests conductance, the waste management and recycling processes, and the plant's adherence to strict water quality standards. Emphasizing environmental sustainability, the plant operates on the principles of reduce, replenish, and recycle. The industrial visit to Moon Beverages Ltd. (Coca-Cola Plant) enriched the students' knowledge and experience, offering a valuable opportunity to learn through practical demonstrations.
Mr. Saluja an alumnus of IIT Bombay shared his journey of starting Chaayos which is now a 2000+ Crore company offering 4000 eclectic ways of having tea. Chaayos introduced India’s first personalized chai concept to make “Meri Wali Chai”. A total of 112 Students from BBA and BCA along with faculty members, actively participated and gained practical advice on business strategy, innovation, and leadership development, helping them navigate the complexities of starting and growing a company. A dedicated Q&A segment provided an opportunity for participants to ask specific questions and receive tailored guidance.
Industrial visits aim at providing students the insight of the industries and have live experience of the working knowledge they gather in the classes. It complements the theory with practice. Description: On September 17, 2024 I.T.S Mohan Nagar UG Campus, Ghaziabad had organized an industrial visit to SEBI, Rajendra place, New Delhi. The students of the First Year of BBA & BCA visited the gained the knowledge from SEBI Resource persons explained the process of stock market in detail and also threw a light on historical development of SEBI. Scams and frauds were also discussed and advised the students for mindful investments.They explained about the regulatory bodies, depositories, IPO and Stock Market Trading Platforms in detail. Students were quite enthusiastic during the visit. They asked many questions from the experts and also replied to questions asked by the experts. Overall, the experience was very good.
I.T.S Mohan Nagar UG Campus organized an insightful session titled “Getting Back to Basics,” led by Dr. Mahima Bakshi, a Wellness Coach, Women’s Rights Activist, Author, Founder of Birthing Naturally, TedX Speaker, and Youth Ambassador of India (International Youth Society). The session aimed to raise awareness among female students about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and building resilience. Prof. Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal, UG Campus, warmly welcomed the guest, expressing her delight in hosting such an empowering event. Dr. Mahima Bakshi guided the students through various aspects of leading a healthy life, highlighting the benefits of embracing traditional habits. She stressed the importance of rising early, starting the day with detox water, cleansing the body and lungs, and consuming home-cooked meals to boost immunity. She also underscored the significance of social interaction, emphasizing the need for more verbal communication to nurture connections. Dr. Bakshi spoke extensively about the role of "happy hormones"—oxytocin, endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin—and shared ways to naturally stimulate these hormones to promote well-being. Towards the end of the session, she led the students through the Rainbow Technique, a mental detox exercise. Students from BBA, BCA, MCA, MBA, PGDM, and I.T.S, Murad Nagar, along with faculty members, actively participated in the session, engaging with Dr. Bakshi to address their queries.
Our BBA-BCA 2nd year students went on an industry visit to Mother Dairy, Patparganj, New Delhi. The students were briefed about the history of Mother Dairy, logistics & operations of business. Then students were taken on the plant visit where they were explained the nitty-gritties of the operations. Towards the end, as a token of goodwill, the plant officials offered flavored milk & ice creams to the students.
Day-1(September 6, 2024) The day began with the registration of new students, during which faculty members assisted with document verification, email address distribution, social media briefings, and the collection of medical certificates. All first-year BBA and BCA students had their documentation and medical certificates reviewed and completed a Mentoring Form. Following the registration process, students participated in a mentoring session where they learned about the significance and workings of the mentoring program. The registration was overseen by course chairpersons Professor Aadil Khan and Dr. Vidushi Singh, along with course coordinators Professor Vaijayanti Anand and Dr. Barkha Kakkar. The event was further honored by the presence of Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Director of UG & IT, and Professor Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal of UG, who congratulated the students on embarking on their new journey.
An industry visit is very important in one’s professional career to bridge the gap between the academic and Industry Interface, were students learn about the working atmosphere and practical knowledge to work in any Industry. BBA & BCA Second year students participated in industry visit to Mother Dairy, During the visit, the students learned about the purpose, need, objective, working style, processing unit, functioning, and milk packaging process of Mother Dairy network in Delhi. A lecture was attended by the students where in an overview of procurement procedure, quality maintenance policy and information about various distribution channels was given to the students. All together the visit was really informative to the students.
Ms Suman Sharma, Senior Executive- Persistent Systems and Alumna, BBA (Batch 2015-18) started the talk by differentiating corporate life from college life. She told how students can prepare themselves today by taking the advantage of various opportunities provided by I.T.S. She also briefed about the importance of soft as well as hard skills in today’s competitive environment. She suggested the students to go for Internship which can prove a good learning opportunity for them. Overall, it was an interactive session and the students asked many questions.
ICT Academy established Honeywell Center of Excellence for Women Empowerment on AWS Cloud by training girl students of final year from BCA department. Students from BCA Department have registered for the training program along with 03 female faculty mentors, Dr. Vidushi Singh, prof. Smita Kansal and Prof. Barkha Kakkar. This training program was conducted for 100 hours which are sponsored by Honeywell and implemented by ICT Academy. Mr. Ved was the resource person for this certification program. This program aims to provide Industry-oriented training on AWS Cloud to the Girl Students of the institution. Day 1: Started with inaugural session at 09:30 AM with a Cloud Concepts Overview - Introduction to cloud computing, Advantages of Cloud Computing, and Introduction to Amazon Web Services (AWS). He continued with the topic of Moving to the AWS Cloud - The AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (AWS CAF). Day 2: Training started with the revision of the previous day's topics and continued with Cloud Economics and Billing - Fundamentals of pricing, Total Cost of Ownership, Billing, Technical support, and Revision of topics. Trainer started explaining AWS Global Infrastructure Overview and AWS Services, Service Category Overview, Revision and discussion. Day 3: Training started with the previous day's concepts then started with the concept of AWS Cloud Security - AWS shared responsibility model and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) with Hands-on and discussion. Day 4: Training started with the previous day's concepts then started with a concept of Access Management with Hands-on, Securing a new AWS account, Securing accounts, Securing data on AWS, and Working to ensure compliance, revision of topics, and discussion. Day 5: Training started with the previous day's concepts then started with concepts on Networking and Content Delivery - Networking Basics and Amazon VPC with Hands-on, VPC networking. VPC security, revision, and discussion and assessment. Day 6: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Networking and Content Delivery then started with concepts on Amazon Route 53, Amazon Cloud Front, Compute- Compute services overview, Amazon EC2 with Hands-on, Amazon EC2 cost optimization, container services, revision of topics and discussion. Day 7: Training started with the previous day's concepts on containers, a discussion on the assessment given and to AWS started with Introduction to A WS Lambda, Introduction Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Elastic Block Store Amazon (Amazon EBS) with Hands-on, Simple Storage Service, revision of topics, discussion with Assessment and informed to complete AWS Academy Graduate. Day 8: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Amazon EBS and started with Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS), Amazon Simple Storage Service Glacier, Databases - Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) with Hand-on, revision of topics and discussion with Assessment. Day 9: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Databases with Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora, Cloud Architecture -AWS Well-Architected Framework Reliability and Availability, AWS Trusted Advisors, revision of topics and discussion with Assessment. Day 10: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Cloud Architecture with Automatic Scaling and Monitoring- Elastic Load Balancing with Hands-on, revision of topics and question discussion with assessment. Day 11: Training started with the previous day's concepts on Automatic Scaling and Monitoring with Amazon EC2, conducted a surprise test, revised previous questions and followed by Hands-on sessions. Day 12: Training started with the previous day's topic followed by Revision 1, Question Discussion and Assessment-1, Revision-2, Question Discussion and, Assessment 2, Revision -3, Question Discussion and, Assessment-3 of Full course All the session delivered by the trainer was very Informative and Interactive. The Students were motivated and got an awareness of the AWS Cloud and the role of Cloud Computing in the day-to-day.
Dr. REEMA THREJA is currently working as Associate Professor in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, University of Delhi. She has 16+ year of teaching experience. As an Author she has authored several books with Oxford University Press, India and her books on Computer Fundamentals, C Programming, OOPS with C++, Data Structures, Data Warehousing, Python Programming are well-accepted across the globe. The Objective of this guest lecture was to give opportunity to BCA students to interact with their favourite author and great teacher. This very important lecture was scheduled for students of BCA-I year. More than 450 students attended the very knowledgeable session and appreciated it a lot. Dr Reema Thareja explained very basic things in very interesting manner. She discussed about common mistakes that students make frequently while writing programs, popular error messages and logic development etc. She started with inspirational and valuable things which are useful for the students in their professional career to come. She also differentiated programming and efficient programming.
