I.T.S Mohan Nagar UG Campus Organized Industrial Visit to “Coca Cola – The Happiness Factory” on March 16th, 2024

The objective behind this industrial visit is to enable students to have an overview of the production process of the various beverages. During the visit Ms.Richa explained the entire production and bottling process of the different beverages like Coca- Cola, Maaza , Minute Maid, Fanta , Sprite , Thums Up etc.. She also explained the various CSR initiatives like UNNATI taken up by the company for the upliftment of farmers in the country . She also stated various interesting facts about the history of the company. Students from BBA & BCA along with faculty members were present in the session. Students and other participants actively interacted with the speaker for their queries related with the working of different machines and production process of the company.

IIC and E-cell Lakshya of ITS UG Campus, Mohan Nagar has organized an exposure visit to NewGen IEDC Incubation Centre at ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida on March 13th & 14th, 2024

The objective of the visit was to provide an exposure to the students regarding innovations and how they are incubated. The purpose was also to make them understand the process that a start-up goes through from ideation to execution. The IEDC Head Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan explained about Incubation centre and the incubation process that consists of three stages - pre-incubation, incubation, and post-incubation. Pre-incubation activities include tenant selection and promotion. Incubation activities are divided into three stages, namely the early stages, development, and advanced stages. He also explained in great detail about the various policies of Government of India under which a start-up founder can apply for funds for prototype development, seed funding and the grants for running the incubation centre with curated ideas. Later, Mr. Shubham and Mr. Samiruddin both alumna of ITS, innovators and Founders of BigBlare Technologies Pvt. Ltd took the students to a visit of the incubation centre that had many innovative machines and equipment on display built by the engineering students. The innovations on display were Air Purifier made with waste products, Rice Chaffing machine, a Solar powered Sugarcane juice extraction machine, robo cleaner for high rise buildings, Blood Sugar detection machine without blood extraction, physiotherapy machine, rice age determination machine, portable EV battery charging console, ELMO an EV, remote operated driverless tractor, etc to name a few. Many of these products have received grants for commercial production and have been winners at start-up meets. The visit was very informative and was an eye opener to the students of IIC since they came back with great zeal and enthusiasm for developing their own start-ups. On Day 1, 45 students were accompanied by Dr. Yamini Negi & Dr. Neerja Anand- IIC Coordinators and on Day 2, 40 students were accompanied by Prof. Saroj Kumari & Prof. Ankur Sharma.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad in association with Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) Delhi, and Dr. Swarn Chawla Memorial Foundation Delhi jointly organized Balika Utsav and an award ceremony (Mahila Shakti Puraskar and Women Achiever Award) at I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. The program delved into discussions on women's empowerment, women's rights, gender inequality, and menstrual hygiene-related health issues, aiming to create awareness and honor 42 exemplary women from various fields across the country who are actively contributing to the upliftment and empowerment of women in society. Dr. Jitendra Nagar, Program Coordinator and ESDA Chairman, highlighted in his welcome address that the event was organized to celebrate the Beti Bachao Andolan initiated by ESDA since 2005 and to promote Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality, adopted by the United Nations in 2015. He emphasized the importance of gender equality as a fundamental human right and the cornerstone of a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. The Beti Bachao Andolan's primary objectives include ending gender inequality, combating female foeticide, abolishing the dowry system, empowering women, and raising awareness of women's rights. Mrs. Sunita Dayal, the Honorable Mayor of Ghaziabad and the chief guest of the program, stressed the significance of such initiatives in raising awareness and empowering women. She advocated for the celebration of daughters every day and condemned discrimination between daughters and sons. Drawing reference to the film "Pad Man," she emphasized the need for greater awareness about menstrual hygiene, particularly in rural areas. Keynote speaker and guest, Suman Oscar, an Oscar Award winner and renowned advocate for menstrual hygiene, shared her journey and highlighted the challenges faced by women and girls, especially in rural areas, regarding menstruation-related issues. Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Director IT & UG, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, emphasized the importance of providing modern education to girls for their empowerment, emphasizing education as the key to progress and equality. Various other speakers, including Dr. Seema, District Food Supply Officer, Mr. J. P. Chawla, Chairman of Dr. Swarn Chawla Foundation, Mr. Raj Singh Bhati, Director of Galgotias University, and Ms. Nutan Bhati, Managing Director of Oxford Public School, emphasized the need for greater female participation in various sectors and the celebration of women's achievements every day. The event honored outstanding women such as Sunita Dayal, Ms. Suman Oscar, Dr. Seema PCS, Prof. Nancy Sharma, Dr. Kavita Khatana, Ms. Nutan Bhati, and others with Mahila Shakti Puraskar and Woman Achiever Awards, recognizing their significant contributions to women's empowerment. Dr. Kavita Khatana, Post Doctoral Fellow of Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence, expressed gratitude to all the guests, and Dr. Milan Yadav efficiently managed the stage. Cultural programs presented by students added vibrancy to the event.

ITS UG Campus organized a media house visit to Amar Ujala for Students of BBA & BCA 1st year on March 12th, 2024

Amar Ujala Hindi- language newspaper published and known for it’s strongly embedded ethics and is a leading newspaper in India. The objective of this Visit was to gain practical exposure and insights into the actual working environment. Students of BBA and BCA participated in the visit from First Year of BBA and BCA. The visit started with a welcome address by Mr. Ashish Goyal, Production Manager. He showed a Road Safety Campaign animated video highlighting the importance of traffic rules to avoid the road accidents and adhering to the permitted speed limits. This video focussed on not using mobile phone while driving, wearing helmet, avoid driving while drunk. Later he explained the various segments of “Amar Ujala” and shared detailed insights about the input, processing and output that precisely make a copy of the newspaper. Then the students were moved to the printing section where they saw the huge printing machines. Students were very excited about the entire experience. This printing machine prints about 40,000 copies in an hour. Mr. Ashish Goyal, Production Manager explained the newspaper production process. The whole production process can be divided into four parts i.e. Content gathering, Pre Press, Printing, Folding and Post Press. The industrial visit was an enriching and worthwhile experience providing us with a valuable window on to processing and printing of a newspaper. It was a great success and exhilarating experience for the students. They have given enough time to the students for the query session. They were disciplined and followed instructions by the faculty members. Overall, the experience was very good.

I.T.S Mohan Nagar UG Campus organized a SYMPOSIUM on #“Inspire Inclusion” on the occasion of “International Women’s Day” under the visionary leadership of Mr. Arpit Chadha -Vice Chairman ITS The Education Group we celebrate the achievements of women in all spheres of life, on the focal theme on 8th March 2024, Friday at zoom online platform at 10:30 am. The event commenced with the opening remarks by Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Director UG , and extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests, sharing motivational words aligned with the Women's Day theme. He shed light on the challenges faced by women in our society Simultaneously, he emphasized the profound strength and beauty inherent in women, portraying them as the most powerful and exquisite creations of God. Following guests graced the occasion through their presence on this celebration & shared their thoughts & experiences with the audience. The Objective of this program is to create awareness among the students regarding the importance of the electoral system and to enhance student’s participation in the voting system. Prof. Amit Sharma, coordinator NSS program briefed students that everyone has the right to vote. By voting, you can create change and make a difference in the community. He created awareness among the students regarding the importance of the electoral system and to enhance student’s participation in the voting system. He told the students that your anticipation is highly needed for the developing country. He created awareness about eligibility criteria to vote and how students can vote in Ghaziabad though they have voter ID of their native places. He also briefed students to fill form no 6 in online or offline mode to make your voter ID. He told students to apply on voter helpline app or through offline forms and be a responsible citizen of India. Prof. Aadil Khan introduced the students about the session and said voting is an integral part of democracy, and it is necessary for people to have a voice. He told the students that under 18-22 age group there are only 2 lakh people and only 12 thousand are registered voters. He sensitized students about the power of vote in building nations.

The UG Campus of ITS organized a self-defense workshop titled "Aprajita" in association with Amar Ujala Publications on March 5, 2024. The session, led by guest instructor Mr. Pushpendra Rawat, a Black Belt Karate expert, along with the team from Amar Ujala, aimed to empower female students of BBA and BCA with practical self-defense skills. With over 150 attendees, the workshop focused on teaching young women techniques to protect themselves in various situations, promoting confidence and safety in their daily lives. The event commenced with Ms. Nisha Thakur, a reporter from Amar Ujala Publications, introducing the program "Aprajita". Mr. Pushpendra Rawat then engaged with the students, emphasizing swift responses to potential threats, such as using elbows to loosen an assailant's grip. Participants learned about basic Karate moves and how ordinary objects like pens could serve as defensive tools. The interactive session encouraged active participation, with Mr. Pushpendra addressing students' queries expertly. Throughout the workshop, attendees were taught key techniques, including disarming knife-wielding attackers and responding to hair grabs or throat grabs effectively. Mr. Pushpendra Rawat also expressed his gratitude to the Amar Ujala Publication team for their initiative. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks and the presentation of a memento to Mr. Pushpendra Rawat and Ms. Nisha Thakur by Professors Monika Sharma, Shreyta Raj, and Kanika Tandon. The event was well-attended by faculty members from the UG campus and the team from Amar Ujala Publication, making it a collaborative effort to promote personal safety and empowerment among young women.

Event was started at 11 AM. Members of opening ceremony were BCA Chairperson, Dr. Vidushi Singh, BBA Chairperson Prof. Aadil Khan , Event Coordinator Ms. Divya Gupta, Placement coordinator Prof. Amit Singh and judges of the event Prof. Kanika Tandon, Prof. Munna Mishra, Prof. Shenki Tyagi & Prof. Neerja Anand. 250 students have participated in the screening process which is Court Room Discussion, Elevator Pitch Statement & two rounds of Coding. 30 students got selected in the screening process and allocated one student & faculty mentor for the next phase of the event.

Biz- Fiesta 2023 (04th Annual UG Management Fest for BBA Students) was organized from 27th – 29th March 2023. This event remained a wonderful display of teamwork of all Management Faculties in which all the participants were from BBA Course. The event was formally inaugurated on Day-1 in auspicious presence of: 1. Major General (Dr.) Rajan Kochhar, Vice- Chairman Natioanl Council of News and Broadcasting & Intl. Strategic Affairs and Defence Expert. 2. Shri Rajesh Garg, Executive Vice President & chief Digital Officer, Head of Cyber Security Practice, Yotta Infrastructure Solutions. 3. Prof.(Dr) Sunil Kr Pandey - Director UG, I.T.S- The Education Group The event concluded on a note of grand success with Prize Distribution ceremony on Day-3 with Shri Arpit Chadha ji, Vice Chairman, I.T.S The Education Group. Around 1600 students of our BBA Course of all 03 years registered in 15 different activities including - Quiz, Extempore, Sudoku, LAN Gaming, Logo Design, Ad Mad Show, Building Tower, Treasure Hunt, Beg Borrow Steal, Back to Back Drawing, Bull & Bear, Collage Making, Debate, Waste to Best & Biz Map during 03 days. Most exciting activities of the fest were “Treasure Hunt, Building Tower, B2B Drawing & Beg Borrow Steal” in which more than 300 students participated in each activity. BBA-1st year won the Overall Trophy was received by Coordinator BBA 1st Year (Prof. Anubha Srivastava) along with the students of BBA 1st Year.

“TECHNOVATION2023”, The IVth Annual Technical Fest for BCA students, comprises of 15 different activities (technical & non-technical) to provide a good platform for the students to exhibit their talents to enhance their knowledge and skills. These activities include – IT Quiz, Overnight Programming, Poster Presentation, Crossword, C Challenge, Nail Bite (Sudoku), IT Fun Show, Web Design, Project Presentation, Blind Coding, Reels Making and Logo Design, Spell Bee etc. Inaugural Ceremony of the event on Day-1, i.e. 27th March, 2023 was conducted during 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Chanakya Auditorium. Following dignitaries were present at inaugural: 1. Shri Arpit Chadha Vice Chairman - I.T.S – The Education Group 2. Maj. Gen. Rajan Kochhar, VSM Vice Chairman - National Council of News and Broadcasting & Intl. Strategic Affairs and Defence Expert 3. Mass participation of the students in all activities of Technovation 2023 has been recorded. Day III i.e. on 29.03.2023, Prize Distribution Ceremony was conducted where all winners received Merit certificates, Medals & Cash Prizes whereas all participants were given participation certificates. I year of BCA (2022-25), won the year wise overall Trophy.
