Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, President AIMA and Director, J K Organization and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd was the moderator. Mr.Anant Maheshwari talked about the concept of technology that all of us are grappling with in as we define what skill do we really need. Mr. Anant gave insights about the data that is produced in our planet. It is estimated that in almost all the organizations today roughly about 3/4th of the data is not analyzed and the data that we are producing is multiplying at the rate of 4X. Therefore, there's an absolute need for organizations to go digital to analyze this data to drive innovation for themselves. According to world economic forum around 50% of the workforce needs to be reskilled digitally by 2025 & it's a massive ecosystem type of movement. There should be a continuous cycle of skill which involves acquiring the skills and upgrading them time to time to close the skill gap. For a large no of organization digitization has become the preferred way to operate even after the reopening of the economy. Clearly jobs are going to the digitally skilled and those who are unable to keep up are becoming redundant.India faces a new skill crisis in the post Covid world. In the end Mr Anant said that the process of skill starts with each one of us. Everyone should follow the 'learn it all culture' i.e learn something new every day. BCA and BBA Students of all three years joined the session. Overall it was really informative and inspiring session for all the members and it really helped the students to acknowledge the fact that how important skilling is in current times.
