The objective of this Student Engagement Program was to help the students to learn new insights about different topics delivered by the eminent speakers from different fields so that they can stand confidently in this competitive environment for upcoming future. Todays’ session was totally based on the basic ideas of the finance & mathematics as both the subjects will be the part of curriculum of the BBA & BCA Course. Mr. Aadil Khan Assistant Professor ITS College Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad was the first speaker of the day. In his session he explained the basic concepts of accounting to the students where he discussed about the long term & short-term investments, mutual funds, financial decisions, risk management in finance & many more. The speaker tried to explain the concepts with very easy live examples. Students enjoyed the session & asked so many questions at the end. The second speaker of the day was Mr. Vikas Kumar Assistant Professor ITS College Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. He started the session with the basic mathematical concepts of Digits & numbers & then moved towards the different methods of the subject .He explained that what the integers are & what is the difference between real numbers & whole numbers .He also quoted some simple stories to explain these mathematical concepts. So many queries were asked by the students & the Speaker answered all the questions. A Quiz competition by Technotrix club was also organised by Prof. Yamini Negi & Prof.Barkha Kakkar (Club Coordinators). In this activity there were different multiple-choice questions were designed for the competition on KAHOOT application. The questions involved in the activity were from Finance, Sports, Logos of different companies & tag lines were also there, students were so excited to participate in the quiz competition. Mr.Vineet Love Security consulting Financial services Accenture security Canada. He was the third speaker of the day. During his session he told the students that cyber security is very important because it protects all categories of data from theft & damage ,he also stressed on the fact that nothing is safe at any point of time in the laptops or mobile phones or Pendrives etc. but we have to be very vigilant related to the data & must have a plan B to save it ,like back up of the important information like personally identifiable information (PII),protected health information (PHI), personal information, intellectual property data & governmental & industry information systems. The speaker answered number of questions related to the topic by the students at the end of the session. Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Director (IT & UG), thanked the eminent speakers of the program for sparing their time and sharing their insights with the students. He congratulated and applauded the active participation of the students. He also appreciated the efforts put in by the club for imparting basic information regarding the subject to the students. Prof. Nancy Sharma – Vice-Principal (UG), I.T.S Ghaziabad extended her best wishes to all the students and encouraged them actively participate in the program to enhance their learning process.
