The Institute of Technology and Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, under the aegis of the Research and Development Cell – Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a workshop on “Statistical Analysis Using SPSS” for BBA and BCA students of the 2nd and 3rd Year on 24 August 2026. The workshop was organized with the objective of strengthening students’ academic, analytical, and research competencies through practical exposure to statistical analysis using SPSS. The programme commenced with a warm welcome and an introductory address by Dr. Neerja Anand, Chairperson-IIC, who highlighted the importance of research skills, data analysis, and evidence-based decision-making in the academic and professional development of undergraduate students. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Nidhi Nirwan and Dr. Simra Mujahid, who introduced students to the fundamentals of statistical analysis using SPSS. The session focused on developing students’ understanding of data handling, statistical analysis, interpretation of results, and the practical application of SPSS in academic research and project work. The resource persons explained the concepts through practical demonstrations and examples, enabling students to understand the application of statistical techniques in a simple and systematic manner. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the BBA and BCA programmes. Students actively engaged in the practical learning activities and discussions and developed an understanding of how statistical data can be organized, analyzed, and interpreted using SPSS. The hands-on orientation helped students enhance their analytical thinking, research aptitude, and confidence in working with quantitative data. The initiative contributed to developing students’ data-driven decision-making abilities and encouraged a research-oriented mindset among undergraduate learners.
