


Day 2 – 18th August 2026 I.T.S., Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad (UG Campus) organized the six-day “PRARAMBH-2026” Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of BBA and BCA (Batch 2026–29) from 17th to 22nd August 2026. The programme was designed to provide students with a smooth transition into undergraduate education through a blend of academic orientation, skill development, awareness sessions, leadership activities, and student engagement initiatives. 1. Bridge Course in Accounts ; Mathematics As part of Day 2 of “PRARAMBH-2026”, a Bridge Course in Accounts ; Mathematics was conducted for the newly admitted BBA and BCA students. The course was specifically designed to bring students from diverse academic backgrounds, including Commerce, Science, Arts, and Humanities, onto a common academic platform. The primary aim of the Bridge Course was to bridge the gap between students’ previous academic knowledge and the foundational concepts required for undergraduate-level learning. The course focused on strengthening basic concepts of Accounting and Mathematics, developing numerical and analytical abilities, and building confidence among students. 2. Session on “Digital Footprints, Netiquettes &; Cyber Security” A highly informative awareness session on “Digital Footprints, Netiquettes & Cyber Security” was conducted by Dr. Amit Sharma, Assistant Professor and Head of Discipline, I.T.S. Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad – UG Campus. The session aimed to sensitize newly admitted students about the importance of responsible, safe, ethical, and professional use of digital technology. In the present digital era, students actively use social media, online learning platforms, email, digital payment applications, and various cloud-based services. Therefore, understanding digital footprints and cybersecurity practices is essential for both their academic and professional lives. Dr. Sharma explained the concept of digital footprints, including active and passive digital footprints, and highlighted how online posts, photographs, comments, searches, and other digital activities can influence an individual's online identity and reputation. Students were advised to be cautious while sharing personal information and to maintain appropriate privacy settings. The session also covered Netiquettes, emphasizing respectful and responsible online communication, professional email etiquette, appropriate behaviour during virtual classes and meetings, respect for privacy, and avoidance of cyberbullying, trolling, offensive communication, and the irresponsible forwarding of unverified information. The cybersecurity component focused on common cyber threats such as phishing, online frauds, malware, social engineering, fake websites, password theft, and unsafe digital practices. Students were encouraged to use strong passwords, enable multi-factor authentication, protect OTPs and personal information, keep devices updated, and exercise caution while accessing unfamiliar links and websites. 3. Investiture Ceremony of UG Clubs & Societies The Investiture Ceremony of UG Clubs & Societies was another significant highlight of Day 2. The ceremony was organized to formally confer leadership responsibilities upon the newly appointed student office-bearers, coordinators, and executive members of various UG clubs and societies. The ceremony symbolizes the formal beginning of the students leadership tenure and provides them with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate leadership, responsibility, teamwork, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Honble Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, who encouraged and motivated the newly inducted student leaders. He presented mementos to the student representatives of various UG Clubs & Societies in recognition of their leadership responsibilities and contribution to student activities. In his motivational interaction, Shri Arpit Chadha encouraged the students to actively participate in the activities of their respective clubs and societies and utilize these platforms for developing their overall personality and professional competencies. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, commitment, creativity, leadership, and responsible participation in co-curricular activities. The Investiture Ceremony provided the newly appointed student leaders with a sense of responsibility and ownership and motivated them to contribute actively towards creating a vibrant and engaging campus environment.
