


Day 3 The third day of the Six-Day Faculty Development Programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Nancy Sharma, Principal, UG Campus, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad. In her inaugural remarks, she encouraged participants to embrace emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies to enhance teaching, research, innovation, and academic excellence. She emphasized the importance of equipping educators with AI-driven skills to meet the evolving demands of higher education. She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha Sir for his encouragement in all endeavours of UG Campus. Session I: Writing Effective Prompts for AI The first technical session was delivered by Mr. Pankaj Singh, Data Science Engineer, Dunnhumby, Gurugram, India. The session focused on the fundamentals and best practices of Prompt Engineering, highlighting that well-crafted prompts are essential for generating accurate, relevant, and meaningful outputs from generative AI tools. Mr. Singh explained various prompt-writing strategies, including providing clear context, assigning user roles, specifying desired output formats, setting constraints, and refining prompts iteratively to improve AI responses. Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants learned how prompt engineering can significantly enhance lesson planning, content creation, research assistance, assessment design, report writing, and administrative tasks. The practical exercises enabled participants to experiment with different prompting techniques and understand how prompt quality directly influences AI-generated results. Session II: Student Performance Evaluation Using AI The second technical session, also conducted by Mr. Pankaj Singh, focused on the role of Artificial Intelligence in student performance evaluation and data-driven educational decision-making. He demonstrated how AI-powered tools can analyze academic performance data, generate personalized feedback, identify learning gaps, and support evidence-based interventions for improving student outcomes. The session included extensive hands-on demonstrations where participants explored AI- based assessment techniques, learning analytics, predictive performance analysis, and automated evaluation systems. A major highlight of the session was the practical development of AI-powered chatbots using Python programming in Google Colab. Participants learned the fundamentals of chatbot creation, executed Python code in the cloud- based environment, and developed different AI-based mini projects to understand the practical implementation of generative AI in education. These activities provided valuable exposure to coding, AI model integration, and educational application development. The day concluded with an interactive QA session, followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Vidushi Singh, Dean Academic, UG Campus, who expressed gratitude to the resource person and participants for making the third day of the Faculty Development Programme insightful and engaging.
