The event commenced at with a formal welcome of the distinguished resource persons, Prof. Ajith Kanna, Centre of French Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and Prof. Sahib Kapoor, Centre of German Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. In the opening address, Dr. Nancy Sharma, Principal- I.T.S UG Campus, emphasized that learning foreign languages such as French and German is not just about acquiring linguistic skills but about expanding global opportunities. She highlighted that in today’s competitive and interconnected world, multilingual abilities enhance employability and cultural understanding. Prof. Sahib Kapoor emphasized that knowledge of foreign languages can open pathways to international careers and academic opportunities abroad, while Prof. Ajith Kanna highlighted that language learning also deepens understanding of different cultures and global perspectives. Both speakers stressed that foreign language skills are a valuable asset for students aspiring for higher education and international careers, and advised students to pursue language learning with genuine interest and consistency. The session was followed by the Certificate Distribution Ceremony, where certificates were awarded to the students by the esteemed guests and the Principal-I.T.S UG Campus.
