
Day- 4 (September 11, 2025) The fourth day of the Orientation Program was marked by a series of highly engaging and insightful sessions delivered by eminent speakers from industry and academia. In the first half, Ms. Srishti Madan Sharma, Vice President, Product Strategy at BlackRock, spoke on Career Opportunities and Skills in Fintech, highlighting how finance and technology are transforming services through mobile payments, digital banking, blockchain, and AI-driven innovations. She outlined key careers such as blockchain developer, analyst, and cybersecurity expert, stressing the need for coding, AI/ML knowledge, and risk management skills. The session motivated students to embrace continuous learning and stay updated with global Fintech trends for future career growth. This was followed by an inspiring talk by Mr. Arun Kumar, Founder CTIO, LoQal AI Ventures & CIDO, Mind Aviator Group, on Entrepreneurship 360° from startup launch to scaling with Franchising and tech-Driven innovation. Drawing on his entrepreneurial experiences, he emphasized the importance of early skill development, adaptability, and resilience in today’s competitive environment. He shed light on how emerging technologies like AI, NLP, and ORDBMS are reshaping businesses, while also underscoring the need for ethics, documentation, and responsible digital practices. Through personal anecdotes and case studies such as Zomato, he motivated students to “fail fast,” remain agile, and adopt innovative strategies for scaling start-ups in dynamic market conditions. In the next session, Mr. Amit Sharma, Assistant Professor at I.T.S UG Campus, sensitized students on Digital Footprints, Netiquette & Cybercrime. He explained how every online action leaves a lasting impact, urging students to practice responsible online behaviour. The session covered the importance of netiquette—respectful communication, verifying information, and safeguarding privacy—and raised awareness about cyber threats like phishing, identity theft, ransomware, juice jacking, and financial frauds. Real-life examples reinforced the message that careless online behaviour can have serious consequences, and students were advised to stay vigilant, ethical, and safe in digital spaces. In the second half, Mr. Deepak Singh Pundir, Branch Manager at HDFC AMC, conducted a session on Investor Awareness focused on enhancing financial literacy through savings, investments, and structured financial planning. He explained how early and disciplined investing in instruments like gold, stocks, bonds, property, insurance, and especially mutual funds can safeguard against inflation and build long-term wealth. Highlighting Warren Buffett’s principle of prioritizing savings before spending, he outlined financial planning as a systematic process of setting goals, allocating assets, and reviewing progress. In the Q&A, he addressed queries on alternatives to mutual funds, explaining options like Nifty 50, SWP in BSE Sensex, and HDFC Flexi Cap funds. The key takeaway was that informed investing and the power of compounding are vital for achieving financial security and future life goals.
