I.T.S UG Campus successfully organized a One-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Patenting for Innovations” on 30th August 2025. The program aimed to enhance faculty knowledge of IPR, its role in research and innovation, and its continued relevance in both academic and industrial settings. Key Program Highlights Eminent Speakers: Experts from DRDO, GGSIP University, CCSU Meerut, and I.T.S delivered sessions addressing themes such as IPR in emerging technologies, academic integrity, science communication, patent searching, digital ethics, and the protection of traditional Indian knowledge systems.  Interactive Format: The event featured case discussions, Q&A, and a special address by Sh. Surender Sood (PRO, ITS Group) on strengthening IPR culture within academic institutions.  Diverse Participation: Faculty from multiple streams attended, gaining practical know-how in patenting processes, novelty assessment, and best ethical practices in research. Session Summaries  Dr. Nancy Sharma (Vice Principal, ITS UG Campus): Discussed IPR with Emerging Technologies (AI, Blockchain, ML) and their impact on future patents.  Prof. Sunil Kumar Pandey (Director, UG & IT, ITS Mohan Nagar): Emphasized Academic Rigor & IPR, focusing on originality, ethics, and research honesty.  Mr. Ajay Kumar (Scientist ‘F’, DRDO, New Delhi): Addressed IPR in Science Communication, highlighting the balance between knowledge sharing and security.  Prof. K.P. Singh (DRDO HQ, New Delhi): Explained Patent Information, Novelty, and Inventive Step through the use of databases and prior art searching.  Prof. Beer Pal Singh (CCSU, Meerut): Highlighted the Role of IPR in Research & Innovation, focusing on connecting academic research with industrial applications via effective patenting strategies.  Dr. Anuradha Chug (GGSIPU, Delhi): Presented on the Synergy between Indian Knowledge Systems and Modern IPR, advocating for the preservation of traditional knowledge.  Mr. Amit Sharma (ITS UG Campus): Discussed Digital Footprints, Netiquette & IPR, addressing ethical online practices and digital copyright issues.
