Day 5 – Alumni Interaction & Student-Driven Activities The fifth day of PRARAMBH-2026, the six-day Orientation Programme for BBA and BCA students (Batch 2026–29), featured an enriching Alumni Interaction Session, providing students with valuable insights into academics, careers, skills, entrepreneurship, and corporate life. The session brought together distinguished alumni, including Mr. Ankit Gupta (BCA, 2008–11), Associate Director, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, who emphasized that a degree provides eligibility, while skills create opportunities. He encouraged students to develop skills beyond coding, learn HR Analytics for BBA, interact with peers, choose their circle wisely, and adopt the habit of learning and growing by 1% every day. He also shared nostalgic memories of his college days and the growth of Navtarang, which expanded its participation from 22 to 50 colleges. Ms. Richa Sahney (BCA, 2010–13), Manager, TCS, highlighted the importance of holistic development through academics and co-curricular activities. Ms. Versha Chhabra (BCA, 2010–13), Sr. HRBP, Coronis Health, advised students to learn life lessons from teachers, strengthen their basics, explore technological tools, and begin learning at least one programming language. Mr. Manish Sharma (BCA, 2010–13), Systems Engineering Advisor, NTT DATA, spoke about the role of failures and successes in life and encouraged students to observe, explore, and continuously develop their technical skills, particularly in Python. The BBA alumni also shared practical career guidance. Mr. Nishant Sharma (BBA, 2010–13), Director, Shri Ram Traders, shared his professional experiences. Mr. Mridul Sharma (BBA, 2013–16), Assistant Manager (HR), Wipro, discussed job and entrepreneurship choices, the importance of gaining experience, communication skills, Personality Development, character building, and active participation in co-curricular activities. Ms. Shivangi (BBA, 2014–17), Fraud Analyst, Barclays, encouraged students to take small steps towards self-improvement every day, remain persistent, seek mentors, and never hesitate to try. Mr. Sukhman Singh (BBA, 2015–18), Sales Director, Jagat Machinery Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd., explained that whether one chooses a job or business, the key is to understand how and where the knowledge gained through the degree can be applied. The interactive session concluded with students actively asking questions and clarifying their doubts regarding career opportunities, higher studies, jobs, entrepreneurship, skills, and corporate expectations. Student-Driven Activities The post-lunch session focused on student-driven club activities and competitions, including Reel Making Challenge, Marketing Relay – Tongue Twister, Blind Drawing, Letter Ladder, The Solo Showdown (Dance Competition), Chess Competition and Badminton Competition for boys and girls. These activities promoted creativity, teamwork, communication, confidence, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among the newly inducted students. Overall, Day 5 was an engaging blend of alumni wisdom, career guidance, skill development, and experiential student activities, inspiring students to build a strong foundation for their academic and professional journey.
