
The Economic Times (ET) Education hosted the 2nd edition of its Annual Education Summit on June 19-20, 2025, at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi. The summit's theme was "Fuelling the Education Economy with AI: The India Story". 4 faculty members, Prof Uttam Sharma, Prof Ravi Govil, Prof Nisha Bansal and Prof Shivoham Tiwari attended the summit on June 19, 2025. The summit focused on how Artificial Intelligence is transforming India's education landscape. The event gathered Policymakers, Educators, EdTech Pioneers, and Industry Leaders to discuss and shape the future of education in India. At the summit, Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, highlighted that that India has emerged as a hub of aspirational youth, powered by science, technology, and innovation. He said that the rise of aspirations enabled by science and innovation bears testimony to the ease of living and the ease of doing research. Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State, Education, Government of India, also shared his views on empowering youth, driving inclusive development, and the future of India's workforce. Other eminent speakers present at the summit also shared their views on the integration of AI in education, addressing skill gaps, enhancing workforce readiness, and aligning education with future industry needs.
