


Description:The session on “Quantum Computing & Artificial Intelligence: Shaping the Future” was conducted by Dr. Om Pal, Co-Founder & CEO, SafeQbit Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Associate Professor, Department of CSE, North Campus, University of Delhi. The event was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Nancy Sharma, Principal, I.T.S. Mohan Nagar UG Campus, with the objective of providing students with exposure to emerging technologies and their applications in the future. The session covered the evolution from Classical Computing and Supercomputing to Quantum Computing and HPC, along with key concepts such as Quantum Entanglement, Deutsch Problem, RSA Cryptography, Quantum Machine Learning, and AI–Quantum Computing integration. Dr. Om Pal explained these concepts through practical examples and interactive discussions, highlighting their applications in AI, cybersecurity, data processing, and machine learning. The session began with a welcome address by Dr. Neerja Anand, IIC Chairperson, emphasizing IIC’s role in promoting innovation and emerging technologies. The session was highly informative and engaging, inspiring students to explore future opportunities in advanced computing and AI. Learning Outcomes: Students gained an understanding of Quantum Computing, HPC, quantum algorithms, Quantum Entanglement, RSA cryptography, and Quantum Machine Learning. They also explored the potential of AI and Quantum Computing in cybersecurity, optimization, data processing, and intelligent systems, inspiring them to explore emerging technologies and future career opportunities, in alignment with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) vision of fostering innovation, research, and technological advancement.
