
In continuous efforts to enhance academic skills of the faculty members, UG campus has organised a two day’s Faculty development programme on “case writing & development” on January 4th & 5th, 2019. The FDP programme received an overwhelming response by faculty members about the different aspect of case. The program was so interactive & all the faculty members learned how to write a case & how it should be discussed in the class.
Mr. Aishwarya Mani Founder Electric Vehicle Startup in Stealth Mode discussed the availability & need of mode of transport & specifically mentioned the usage of electric sharing scooters, he also explained the importance of taking into consideration each & every point before any research process or case discussion. This session was so interactive as all the faculty members enjoyed & learned different aspects of the research.
Dr. Ekta Duggal Professor MLNC enlightened the relevance of including practical cases in the discourse with the students in class. Professor shared her views on the Practice Based Learning (PBL), Case Based Teaching and Good Practices in Research. The audience witnessed a great show of her expertise on the issue as she began by pointing possible reasons why people abstain from using case study method of teaching and gradually suggested ways so that teachers learn to ensure that their classes evolve with the cases discussed. She also helped the faculty members to write a case. The identification of key issues, gathering information and presentation in sequential manner was explained in detail.
Prof. Harsh Vardhan Verma, FMS, University of Delhi shared his notions of the ease of explanation with the assistance of Cases. He also bridged the gap between the theoretical concepts of Marketing of services and Brand Management to the ground zero of practical issues. He also maintained the discussion vibrant on the final day of FDP. He insisted the participants to keep the conversation of Case studies as multidisciplinary in the initial phase and then later on filter out the concepts to be discussed in the class. He detailed the skills and methodology required for the case study analysis, & how to prepare, conduct and analyse the case study. The use of teaching notes and board plan was also explained.
Sessions in FDP had a vibrant two ways discussion with an equally participative audience. The valedictory session of the FDP has given a chance to fellow faculty members to thank the College for providing this learning arena.

After the Vote of Thanks by Director- UG Dr, Vidhya Sekhri & Vice Principal, Prof Nancy Sharma, the session came to an end after two day’s participation of all the faculty members.
