The HR Club Achievers organized a workshop on “Recruitment and Leadership” for the students of BBA I Year on December 18, 2021,for imparting insights about HR functions and Leadership. The session was delivered by Ms. Parul Gupta, Deputy Director, Bureau of Indian Standards who apprised the students with the recruitment function in an organization by citing examples of recent practices in hiring employees. She explained how organizations attract employees, assess them and finally select them for the right job role. She also explained the pre-boarding and onboarding process of the organizations which further help in creating a good brand image. Ms. Parul explained the problem-solving approach of the HR department by giving various situations to the students and then seeking their responses. In the later part of the workshop, she focused on leadership skills that are essential for transforming an organization from good to great. She quoted great contemporary leaders like Mr. Ratan Tata, Mr. Sundar Pichai, Mr. Sachin Bansal and Mr. Binny Bansal who have exemplary leadership traits. She also highlighted the role being played by these transformational leaders in creating a positive brand image of the organization where every job seeker is keen to get placed. The students responded enthusiastically to the queries, cases, and situations presented by the guest speaker and exhibited a good problem-solving approach.
