It is the Vision of our Honorable Vice Chairman, Mr. Arpit Chadha sir that all the students at ITS should be able to achieve their Goal in life. In this endeavor, on 23th May’2020 ITS UG Campus Organized a Webinar on “Challenges & Opportunities for Media Industry beyond Pandemic” by Mr. Manish Kumar, VP & National Sales Head Star TV Network for the BBA/BCA students.

The Webinar was very informative and gave insights on how Corona Pandemic is creating both opportunities as well as challenges for the Media Industry. Mr. Manish mentioned that due to social distancing the entire world is spending most of the time on the Screen. There has been a tremendous growth in the at-home media consumption.

He also mentioned about the various OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5, Hot Star, Disney Plus & YouTube and how they are dramatically changing the way we consume entertainment in India. These platforms are not only giving us enormous choices but also giving us an option to watch at our convenience.

Mr. Manish also talked about the problems which media industry is facing. He said that many of the broadcast content-such as live sports have been postponed or cancelled which have made the advertisers to reallocate their spending. This has resulted in subsequent drop in Media Company’s income.

Mr. Manish gave very satisfactory answers to the student’s queries. The Students got lot of insights about the functioning of the Media Houses, especially during these times of a Pandemic.
